We initially chose them for the convenience of windshield replacement, and while they’ve managed to replace a few windshields for us, it hasn’t been a smooth process. We had an initial error with the wrong order, followed by a defective windshield that needed replacement. Despite these hiccups, we kept going with them. However, during our most recent replacement, the technician insisted we pay a deductible, which we didn’t have and couldn’t find in our insurance documents. We provided proof to him and the main office, but they still insisted. It became a real battle to get this resolved, especially since the claims department wasn’t available on the weekend. Ultimately, it turned out Safelite had gotten the wrong information from our insurance company, but they were unwilling to admit it and refused to correct their mistake. It really felt like we paid for convenience at the expense of quality service and a hassle to get everything sorted out.”

I had a really frustrating experience getting my windshield replaced. The new one was noticeably uneven, sticking out much further on the driver’s side than the passenger side, and it created a significant amount of wind noise. When I pointed this out, the staff insisted it was “within gauge” and that there was nothing they could do, even offering to re-install the same windshield – which, of course, didn’t solve the problem. Honestly, it was a terrible experience, and I regret not going to the dealership instead. I won’t be returning.
