  “We were so relieved when Mike came to assess our sinking concrete sidewalk and front porch step. The step was a real hazard, and the walkway flooded terribly after every rain. After doing some research, we decided polyurethane foam was the best solution, and Mike explained why it was a much better option than traditional mudjacking. He was fantastic – really reasonable, kept us informed, and was incredibly professional. Thanks to his work, we saved a significant amount of money compared to a full replacement.   Overall, I was really pleased with the work Chesapeake Concrete did to repair my driveway. They identified a serious problem – the driveway was starting to undermine the garage foundation – and quickly stepped in to fix it. Their estimate was significantly lower than another quote I’d gotten, which I initially questioned, but their expertise and efficient, professional approach definitely justified the price. They did a really thorough job, bringing the driveway back to its original level and preventing potential cracking, and I’m incredibly grateful for their skill and the economical solution they provided.   I couldn't have asked for a better experience! From the very first inquiry, they were incredibly responsive and helpful, making scheduling a breeze. Everyone I dealt with was so friendly and genuinely willing to assist. The work itself was outstanding – they completely transformed my sidewalk, which was a real safety concern, and leveled out my driveway perfectly. Seriously, it looks brand new!   “I hired this contractor to repair a crack in my sidewalk, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly disappointing. From the start, the contractor and his wife seemed professional and confidently assured me their service and materials were the best – and half the price – compared to other concrete repair companies. Despite my repeated questions about ensuring the repair matched the existing sidewalk and remained level, he firmly promised it would. However, the work itself was a complete disaster. Instead of using the gray filler he’d described, he filled the crack with bright white material that stands out horribly. It’s completely unacceptable and looks nothing like what I expected. When I contacted him immediately, he was dismissive and insisted I just “live with it.” We ended up disputing the cost with my credit card company, who ultimately refunded me. But the contractor continued to fight the refund, and it took several frustrating exchanges. Worst of all, he never returned to assess the worsening damage – the crack is now even more prominent and the concrete is crumbling. I’m incredibly frustrated with this experience and will be taking further action, including contacting the Attorney General’s office and Consumer Protection, and sharing my story publicly. I strongly advise anyone considering hiring this contractor to proceed with extreme caution.” report abuse

  Mike and CCR did an absolutely fantastic job – the service was top-notch and the price was incredibly reasonable. You can tell he’s a really experienced professional; he paid such close attention to detail throughout the whole process, from the initial prep work to the final result.
