  American Sentry Solar really stood out to us during our search for a solar installation company. We spoke with several firms, and while they weren’t the cheapest, their presentation was just so clear and honest – they didn’t over-promise. From the very beginning, we were really impressed with their professionalism and the quality of their work. They consistently went above and beyond, and we appreciated how well-organized and efficient the whole process was, from the initial inspection to the timeline updates. Plus, we were really pleased with the incentives offered for participating in their marketing. The admin and sales teams were fantastic too – they kept us fully informed at every step and were always available to answer any questions we had. Honestly, we’re so glad we chose them to install our solar panels. It's a little complex to get started with home solar, but American Sentry Solar made the whole thing surprisingly easy.   I was really pleased with the solar panel installation American Sentry Solar did at my home in December. Casey Bottiger and his team did a fantastic job with the panels themselves – everything was done really professionally. I also want to give a special shout-out to Jeremy Shipley who handled the interior electrical work.   I have to say, I’m absolutely thrilled with American Sentry Solar! They recently installed our solar panel system, and the whole experience was fantastic. From the initial contact to the installation itself, everything was so smooth and professional – it genuinely exceeded my expectations. My husband took care of most of the paperwork, but I was there for the installation, and I was really impressed with the team. They were incredibly punctual, respectful of our property, and worked so efficiently. The installation was surprisingly quick, and they left the whole area spotless.   “I would strongly advise against working with this company. My experience was incredibly frustrating and felt like a complete scam. From the very beginning, the salesperson, Stan, insisted on sending someone to my house for a “measurement,” which I quickly realized was just a tactic to add an unnecessary step to the process – something that could have easily been done via video call. When I pointed out that their prices, at $71,000, were significantly higher than quotes I’d received from other solar companies, he immediately started changing the numbers, offering different financing options and then suddenly dropping the price to $45,000 for cash – a $25,000 difference! Despite having similar equipment to the recommended company in Maryland, it was still more expensive. As soon as I made it clear I wasn’t interested due to the high cost, Stan became incredibly pushy and unprofessional, even trying to justify the cost based on his travel expenses. He seemed determined to convince me I couldn’t afford solar elsewhere and then accused me of wasting his time. Ultimately, he asked me to leave the house. It was a very uncomfortable and stressful experience.” report abuse
