“As a seasoned real estate investor with significant experience in property transactions – including surveys – I was really disappointed with my experience using Exacta Land Surveyors, LLC. I’d previously used Front Door for my own home purchase, which led me to choose them. Unfortunately, their service was far below expectations. They provided a very basic and inaccurate property description, essentially just a rectangle with minimal detail, and even worse, the survey indicated that my neighbors and I were encroaching on each other’s land. It took them weeks to respond to my concerns, and ultimately they just repeated that they’d fulfilled their agreement. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend using them – there are other survey companies out there.”

Overall, I had a pretty good experience with the company, but it could have been much better. The staff were really friendly and helpful to deal with, and I appreciated Elizabeth’s kindness and apologetic attitude when I called about the stake out survey. I’d ordered the survey for a specific date – 5/8 – and when I went to check on it, the stakes weren’t there. I contacted them immediately and Elizabeth followed up quickly, explaining they were behind schedule. Honestly, I was frustrated because I hadn't been informed of the delay, and I had a fence company scheduled to arrive on 5/10. It just highlighted the importance of good communication. Thankfully, the stakes were finally put in place, but I’d definitely give them 4.5 stars – a half-star deduction purely for the lack of communication. Elizabeth deserves a full 5 stars for her professionalism and helpfulness.

Honestly, my experience with this company was incredibly frustrating. It seemed like they had a serious problem keeping track of their records – they actually tried to bill us twice! We’d already paid their initial invoice as part of our closing costs, only for them to send us another bill five months later, after we brought it to their attention. Their response felt incredibly reactive. And it wasn’t just that; when we needed a copy of our survey for a new fence, they insisted we go through our title company – a completely unusual and frankly, suspicious response. Because of all of this, I won’t be working with them again.

“I’m really disappointed with our experience with Exacta Maryland. We hired them over a month ago for a property line survey and fence stakes, and frankly, the communication has been terrible. Despite repeatedly reaching out, we haven't gotten a single reliable update on the project’s progress. They kept saying someone would show up to place the stakes, but no one ever did – no calls, no emails, nothing. They even sent an email claiming the survey was finished, which is completely untrue. It’s incredibly frustrating to be left in the dark like this, especially considering we paid upfront. The lack of professionalism and communication is unacceptable, and I’m sharing this review hoping to warn others about their service.”

I was extremely disappointed with Exacta’s service. They provided a boundary survey that was completely inaccurate, and I discovered this through a separate survey conducted on the neighboring property. The other company was able to clearly explain exactly what errors Exacta had made. To add to the problem, I had to move trees I’d planted based on their flawed survey. What’s truly frustrating is that when I contacted them repeatedly over the past week, they haven’t returned my calls at all.

“I hired this company to get a clear property survey, specifically to understand the boundaries for landscaping and tree care. Unfortunately, the surveys were consistently inaccurate. The first survey included a back lot that wasn’t part of our property, the second was off by nearly 10 feet at the front, and the third misidentified a marker by over six feet at the back. Ultimately, the surveys created more confusion than they resolved – I’d honestly recommend guessing instead of relying on their services.”
-
That estimate of $2200 for the duplex survey seems incredibly high – honestly, a bit outrageous.
-
“I was really pleased with the work they did on my properties – it was outstanding and definitely worth the investment. I was also impressed that they included a laminated plan and paper copies when they sent it back to me.”
-
“I was really impressed with this team – they were incredibly easy to work with and the staff were so friendly and helpful. They answered all of my questions promptly and kept me completely in the loop with text message updates whenever they were on my property. I wholeheartedly recommend them for any survey work.”
-
“I received a quote of $1,000 for a boundary survey of a small property – about 0.068 acres. Honestly, considering the negative reviews I’ve read, I was expecting a more competitive price.”
