  “Sumpter Solar stepped in after my previous company closed down, and my initial experience with them was really positive – they responded quickly and replaced several faulty parts. However, my most recent interaction has been incredibly frustrating. I explained my urgent situation, emphasizing that my furnace wasn’t working due to a complete lack of power to the system, and the gentleman I spoke with assured me it was critical to get it fixed. Despite that, I haven’t heard back from anyone after multiple calls and texts – it’s been 10 days and I’m really disappointed with the lack of communication and follow-up.” report abuse

  Matt from Sumpter Solar Services was absolutely fantastic to work with. I initially reached out just needing some guidance with the paperwork and permits for a small solar project, but he quickly offered his expertise and experience, which really expanded the project into a fantastic 6.3KW array that he and his team installed. He went above and beyond, showing me the arrays he’d installed at his own home and explaining all the installation methods in detail. He really made the whole process seamless, keeping me informed about the costs and ensuring I felt completely comfortable throughout. I got a great rate, which included some necessary upgrades to my electrical service, and I wholeheartedly recommend Sumpter Solar Services – they’re a friendly, supportive, and incredibly skilled team. report abuse

  “Matt Kadwell and his team were fantastic to work with initially, and I’d recommend them without hesitation. They were the only contractor who could install the backup batteries we needed. However, two years after the installation, we’ve run into some significant problems. The batteries haven’t performed as expected, with one failing and causing issues with our system. Despite returning the faulty battery months ago, we’re still waiting for a replacement from LG and haven’t been offered any solutions by Matt. We’ve experienced several power outages, and it’s clear the batteries weren’t sufficient to keep the house running, especially during times like windy weather when our solar panels weren't producing power. Looking back, we probably overspent on the batteries. Overall, we had high expectations for both the system and Sumpter, but we’ve been somewhat disappointed.” report abuse

  Matt and his team were absolutely fantastic! We had a really challenging situation with an old solar system that was riddled with issues, and they went above and beyond to get it sorted out. They patiently diagnosed all the problems, even navigated the complicated process of dealing with both our insurance and the manufacturer. They made promises they didn’t keep – the technicians left the job unfinished, and I was given misleading information for ten days before they simply refused to complete the work or offer a refund.
