Honestly, this company is causing a terrible disruption in our neighborhoods. They’re essentially bulldozing established Bellevue areas to build huge, unattractive mansions that quickly sit vacant. It’s completely focused on profit, with no regard for the quality of life here. Their tactics are particularly concerning – they’re targeting vulnerable seniors with property taxes skyrocketing thanks to Minnesota, and the whole thing feels predatory. And their so-called “eco-friendly” initiatives are a joke; they’re removing perfectly healthy, mature trees—some over 75 years old—and replacing them with cheap shrubs from Home Depot that die off quickly. We've seen it firsthand, like at 2403 153rd, where they just ripped out beautiful, old trees without even replanting. They’re throwing away perfectly good materials during demolition – beautiful oak floors, vanities, bookcases – sending everything straight to the dump. It’s clear they’re not genuinely trying to improve the neighborhoods; they’re just exploiting them for profit, and frankly, we're deeply frustrated and disappointed by their actions.

“Overall, our experience with MN Custom Homes was incredibly disappointing. They shared our design plans and blueprints throughout the construction process, but we quickly realized they weren’t adhering to those plans – a significant oversight. On closing day, we discovered a shocking number of major issues, including huge gaps between doors and garage doors that wouldn’t open. Adding to the frustration, Comcast was unable to install internet service because their construction team had damaged the wiring. It’s been three days since closing and we still have no internet. Frankly, it's been a constant source of stress and worry, especially considering the cost of our nearly $3 million home. They completely failed to meet our expectations and, more importantly, they broke our trust. To make matters worse, a year later, they still haven't completed essential warranty walkthroughs, and several issues, like our kitchen grout and range problem, remain unresolved. I wouldn't recommend MN Custom Homes to anyone.”

I absolutely love my home that MN Custom Homes built for me two years ago. The quality is fantastic – truly outstanding – and I really appreciated how carefully they inspected everything to make sure it was perfect right from the beginning. More recently, when we needed a few repairs, Shauna’s team was fantastic. They were incredibly responsive, professional, and everyone I spoke with was just so friendly and helpful. Thank you, MN Custom Homes, for creating such a wonderful home and for continuing to provide such excellent service.

I’m incredibly frustrated with my experience with MN Custom Homes. Moving into our house six months ago was already a disappointment, but the ongoing issues and their lack of responsiveness have made it a truly awful ordeal. We’ve brought up countless problems – from minor cosmetic issues to serious concerns about the structure – and it consistently takes days for them to even acknowledge our emails, let alone offer a proper solution. They promised to address these problems quickly after we moved in, but six months later, many remain unresolved. Recently, they attempted to fix a longstanding HVAC issue, only for our furnace to completely fail, leaving us without heat for over a day and with no response to our emails. Then, they repainted our cabinets, but the paint they used has a shockingly strong chemical smell that’s been lingering for over a month – we had to store the doors in the garage because of it. Honestly, dealing with MN has been incredibly stressful, and I believe it’s directly contributed to a health problem I’m now facing. I’m urging anyone considering a home built by MN to think very carefully before proceeding. It’s simply not worth the constant worry and the poor quality of service.”

“I’m incredibly disappointed with the quality of the home I purchased. It’s been a nightmare – six months of constant repairs and communication issues. Honestly, it’s not worth the price, and I strongly advise anyone considering this builder to look elsewhere. I’ll be sharing more evidence if they try to remove this review, like they’ve done with other buyers’ feedback.”

“This was, without a doubt, the best open house experience I’ve ever had. The quality of the build was truly outstanding – you could see they really paid attention to every little detail. And beyond the craftsmanship, the after-sales service and warranty were exceptional; it’s clear this builder is committed to their customers for the long term.”
-
Seriously, please stop sending me those emails about buying my house. I’m not interested, and if you continue to send them, I won’t consider selling to you under any circumstances.

“These builders have really created some stunning, classic homes in the area. Beyond that, their customer service is outstanding, and it’s fantastic to see them consistently giving back to the local community.”

Lan is a fantastic home builder – I’ve always found him to be incredibly courteous and professional to work with.

These homes are stunning – beautifully designed and with really well-thought-out floor plans. It’s clear they’re a fantastic brand.
