“We were so thrilled with GTM’s work – we’ve used their services twice now, and both experiences were fantastic. They were incredibly responsive and consistently met all their deadlines. Everyone at the firm was genuinely kind and professional, and we truly feel lucky to have received such high-quality architectural design, which is clearly the best in the DC area.”

We’re incredibly disappointed with the situation regarding our new fireplace in the basement. It’s completely ineffective and, worse, is actually contributing to smoke coming from our upstairs fireplace due to a fundamental design flaw – GTM didn’t account for negative pressure in the basement. To add to the frustration, we paid them a significant fee to oversee the construction, yet they offered no assistance in resolving this major issue. It’s concerning that a one-year-old house has such a significant flaw, and we’ve found them to be unresponsive and lacking in detailed communication throughout the process.

Jeff Whitman was fantastic to work with on our new office building. He really went above and beyond to ensure we got the best possible value, and he was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire project, expertly handling all the changes we requested. His creative solutions to the permitting challenges were especially impressive – I wholeheartedly recommend him.

“I unfortunately had a really negative experience working with this company. They were incredibly slow to respond, it took three weeks to get an initial email back, and even after confirming our intention to move forward, they remained largely unresponsive and seemed disengaged with my project. Towards the end, it felt like they completely lost interest, ignoring my messages just before we were about to finalize the contracts. Their communication was unprofessional and, frankly, condescending. I’m just glad I found an alternative provider.”
-
“I’ve really enjoyed working with this team – they’re incredibly thoughtful and detail-oriented in their design work. In fact, I’m already planning to use Mark Kaufman for the design of my next home.”
-
Overall, it sounds like a really positive experience – they clearly have a strong team and a well-regarded company.
