I absolutely love my home; it’s been remarkably low maintenance with very few issues. The workmanship is fantastic, and Chris and his team have always been incredibly responsive and helpful with any questions I’ve had.   “I can’t recommend purchasing a new-build condo from Bogdan. My experience has been incredibly frustrating and, frankly, a disaster. From the start, the employees have been consistently combative and unwilling to address issues. The quality of the construction is also shockingly poor – we’re talking significant problems that shouldn’t have happened so soon after building. For example, we’ve had water leaks throughout the entire complex for over three years without a permanent solution, and the roof needed a complete replacement just four years after construction. Even basic things like the sidewalks and concrete work are poorly reinforced. It was unbelievable. To make matters worse, when I raised concerns, a manager made a dismissive joke about forgetting their glasses, and the owner himself even insisted they wouldn't have installed the French doors on the third floor, despite clear evidence to the contrary. Honestly, it's been the most expensive and stressful mistake I've ever made.” report abuse

  “Thirty years ago, my husband and I chose Bogdan Builders to build our dream home on a lot we’d bought. A friend recommended them after they built a house for them, and we were so pleased with the experience. Chris, the owner at the time, was just about to retire and hand the business over to his son, Chris, and we jumped at the chance to sign a contract. It was a remarkably smooth process – they were really flexible with our design changes and completed the project on time. The house has stood the test of time beautifully, and aside from regular maintenance, we haven’t had any major issues. More recently, we needed a kitchen upgrade and Chris went above and beyond by recommending a skilled contractor who did a fantastic job. While he wasn't directly involved, he took a genuine interest in making sure we got the help we needed. We wholeheartedly recommend Bogdan Builders – they’re fantastic for building high-quality, luxurious homes.” report abuse

  I absolutely love my new home from Bogdan Builders – I’ve been searching for ages for a place in Northwest DC that was both updated and had a really good layout. Finding row homes with a bright, open floor plan and efficient use of space was incredibly difficult. Bogdan and his team completely nailed it, and I’m so thrilled with the quality and the way it feels so private. What’s truly stood out is the fantastic customer service. They’ve been amazing from start to finish, even going above and beyond when my dogs damaged my cabinets – they fixed them promptly and patiently walked me through the home’s technology. And they even built me a custom library that perfectly matched the original design! Chris Bogdan, Jesse, and Danny were all fantastic. Seriously, I wish I’d found them sooner – I’d wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a beautiful, well-built home in a great location. report abuse

We’ve used them on a few remodeling projects and they consistently delivered on time and within budget – which we really appreciated. The work was done quickly and to a really high standard.   “We bought our first condo – a beautiful unit in a new building – about a year ago, and were really excited about it. However, our experience with Bogdan has been incredibly disappointing. Throughout the last 10.5 months, we’ve felt completely ignored; he’s offered very little help with the numerous unresolved issues we’ve encountered, both with our unit and the building itself. Specifically, we’re still missing a working security system and entry callbox, both things Bogdan is contractually obligated to provide. There's also no insulation between our unit and the one above, and he’s refused to even look at it. We’re dealing with unfinished cabinets and other small details he should have taken care of. It’s frustrating because he’s consistently passed the blame onto the contractor, Vertigo, despite the problems being his responsibility. We’ve tried repeatedly to get someone – the manager, owner, or CEO – to listen, but it’s like we’re being ignored. It feels like he’s deliberately waiting for our warranty to expire. Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend working with Bogdan; we feel he’s been unethical and dishonest.” report abuse
