  Mike and his team did a fantastic job – we were really impressed with their speed and how well Mike communicated throughout the project. The quality of their work, specifically with the showers, tile, plumbing, painting, and drywall, was excellent. They tackled a big renovation, including completely reworking two bathrooms and moving the AC ducts, which was a particularly clever solution. They even went above and beyond by crawling into the attic to redo the insulation. We’re very happy with the results and would definitely recommend Mike’s team for any future projects. report abuse

  We were incredibly pleased with the work United Group Construction did for us – they completely gutted and renovated our two bathrooms in our 1971 house. Mike and his team were exceptionally detail-oriented, particularly with the tile work, which was truly impressive. We really appreciated how responsive Mike was throughout the project; he was always available, either in person or via text, to keep us updated and address any questions or unforeseen issues that came up (like those unexpected roof leaks!). They were fair in their pricing for those extra challenges, and we wholeheartedly recommend United Group Construction – the new bathrooms look absolutely stunning, though the photos didn’t quite capture how beautiful they are! report abuse

  “We hired United Group Construction last July for a remodel, and unfortunately, the experience was incredibly stressful and frustrating. It started with a re-model of our front bathroom that unexpectedly expanded to include two bathrooms and new plumbing. While we ultimately like the finished result, we encountered far too many mistakes and a really difficult working relationship with Mike, the main contact. The problems began just two months into the project with cracking grout and peeling sealant. Despite two return visits to re-grout and re-seal, the issue persisted. Then, Mike insisted on extensive, last-minute work, including breaking up the tile and bolting in a new bathtub – work that should have been done during the initial remodel. What really turned into a nightmare was Mike’s approach. He was initially helpful, but once the contract was signed and the work began, he became incredibly argumentative and dismissive of our concerns. It felt like he was deliberately trying to frustrate us, constantly arguing and refusing to take responsibility. Communicating with him was nearly impossible, and we constantly felt like we were walking on eggshells. Mike is a very aggressive salesperson who seemed primarily focused on extracting more money from us. He’d gain our trust to then push for extra costs. His invoices were incredibly vague and didn’t itemize anything, and he repeatedly insisted that the invoice itself was his warranty – despite never documenting this on the form. Because of all these issues, we left a review, and he pressured us to do so. Once we changed our review, he became extremely upset and never apologized for the mistakes. He even insinuated that *we* had cracked the tile to try and justify his actions. Because of this experience, we can’t recommend United Group Construction. If you consider using them, get *everything* in writing and consider recording conversations to protect yourself from his argumentative tactics.” report abuse

  “We were absolutely thrilled with the work Mike and his team did converting our garage. From the very beginning, they were incredibly professional and accommodating, seamlessly incorporating several changes we requested along the way. It genuinely felt like they were completely dedicated to our project, making us feel like we were their top priority. The whole team worked together so well, and we really appreciated how clean and respectful they were of our home throughout the entire process.   Mike and his team did a fantastic job renovating the lower level of my garage. My realtor actually recommended him, and after he took a look at the project – which was a real challenge with the uneven floor and a strange built-in wall – I knew he was the right choice. They tackled a lot of issues, like lowering the floor by a foot and removing the wall obstruction, all while reinforcing the concrete supports. What really stood out was Mike’s honesty and his commitment to keeping me informed throughout the entire process. He was really careful about managing my budget, both in the short and long term, and he didn't try to oversell anything. There were a couple of extra costs that came up, but they were really smart decisions that ultimately saved me a significant amount of money in the future. Overall, we had a really positive experience with UGC, and I’ve already told my neighbors about them – I highly recommend Mike and his crew! report abuse

  Mike and his crew did an absolutely fantastic job – truly beautiful work for a really fair price. They were so professional and knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to help us navigate some tricky issues with the HOA. Because of some unexpected circumstances, the timeline was really tight, but they managed to stick to it perfectly. I’d absolutely hire them again for any project in the future. report abuse

  Mike did an absolutely fantastic job on both my bathroom remodel and the backyard project – he even built me a custom fire pit!
