  Honestly, this contractor’s performance has been completely unacceptable. Despite claiming a commitment to improvement and requesting feedback, they’ve racked up hundreds of complaints with the borough regarding their incredibly poor snow plowing. It’s resulted in a shocking amount of damage – destroyed trash cans and mailboxes, massive ice berms blocking driveways, and roads left unplowed for days after storms, often covered in dangerous glare ice without any treatment. The situation is so bad that a petition is now underway to prevent them from bidding on future snow removal contracts. I would give them zero stars if I could. report abuse

  “I can’t recommend Ficklin Construction highly enough! We built our dream retirement lake house with them, and from start to finish, they were fantastic. As someone who’s worked in construction for a long time, I can honestly say they were among the most professional and reliable crews I’ve ever encountered. The office staff were always friendly and helpful, and the field workers – from the equipment operators to the framers and laborers – were incredibly efficient and genuinely pleasant. They also clearly worked with excellent subcontractors. Their contracts and change orders were very clear and fair, and the whole project ran incredibly smoothly. I scheduled an appointment two weeks in advance, and they then rescheduled it with just two days’ notice.   “I was absolutely thrilled with the work Ficklin Construction did remodeling my house – they added a second floor with a house lift, which was a fantastic opportunity to completely transform my home and double its size. From the start, the crew was incredibly professional and the quality of their work was outstanding. What really impressed me was that they actually finished the project ahead of schedule and within the quoted budget – something I hadn’t experienced with any contractor before.
