“I was really impressed with The Painting Company. They were incredibly efficient and professional, fitting the painting of my new house’s interior around my schedule and finished the whole job in just two days! The price was fair, and the quality of the work is fantastic – I couldn’t be happier.”

Overall, the painting of the house itself went alright, but there were some serious issues with the drywall repair on my front porch. The first attempt was a complete disaster – they painted over spackling that hadn’t even dried, which just made the seam look even worse. The painter came back a week later to try again, and the paint simply didn't cover the white repair, leaving a very obvious, messy streak. I wasn’t willing to let the same person continue to mess it up, so I had to find someone else to fix it. Honestly, it felt like a really sloppy job – his supplies were just piled up in the van, and he seemed disorganized. I even had to tidy up the landscaping he’d knocked over with his foot! I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience, although I’ve heard others had really positive results – it seems like you’re at the mercy of which subcontractor or painter is assigned to your job.

The paint crew did a great job overall – we were really pleased with their work. It was a shame we couldn’t have used Lowe’s paint, though; if we had, the color would have been exactly what we wanted from the start. They tried to match my sample twice, but it just wasn’t quite right, and they seemed to be just entering the sample number without getting the accurate match. Lowe’s consistently gets the color right, which is something we’d definitely consider in the future.

“Honestly, we really regretted choosing the Painting Company. They were the cheapest quote, but the whole experience was a huge letdown. It took them nearly two months to start the work, and even then it took another week to finish. The only contact we had initially was a foreman who just handed us paperwork and left. Then, it was just one painter working, and she wasn’t always present. There was no supervision or coordination, and he was quite sloppy – he didn’t seem to want to fully complete the job as originally promised. We ended up with paint drips everywhere, missed spots, and, worst of all, splatters on our tile floors that are incredibly difficult to remove. We definitely wouldn’t recommend them.”

“I was really disappointed with this company. After just two years, my deck and railings started peeling, and unfortunately, they weren’t covered under warranty – despite the warranty itself seeming unreliable, as I didn’t receive any support when I contacted them about the issue.”

Madison and their team did an absolutely fantastic job – they were so quick and professional, and the paintwork is just phenomenal! I’m incredibly satisfied and will definitely be reaching out to them for any future projects.

Overall, Juan and his helper did a fantastic job – really professional and efficient. They took care of everything really well, from the preparation to the cleanup, and we were really pleased with the final result. Jessica from the office was also wonderful, adding a friendly and personal touch that made the whole experience really positive.

I’ve been renting properties for a long time, and I’ve rarely had cause to leave negative reviews – just two, actually, one was Heartland Rentals back in 2002 and now The Painting Company of Birmingham. Mistakes happen, and they can usually be resolved. However, I’m seriously concerned about the quality of some of the positive reviews I’m seeing here. There seems to be a lack of transparency, and I suspect some might be fabricated. I was treated poorly – overcharged, given false information, and the contract was manipulated. I’m planning to share all the specifics on my website with a link for anyone who wants to learn more.

“I was really impressed with their work – the quality was fantastic! They were incredibly reliable, arriving early and staying late to make sure everything was done perfectly. They even went above and beyond by painting some color samples for us.”

Ryan and his team did a fantastic job. They were really professional and took the time to listen to our specific needs, and everything was done incredibly neatly. Ryan himself was particularly detail-oriented and a pleasure to work with – it was a great experience.
