  Overall, Doug and his team did a fantastic job building our new garage and master suite. The project finished on time and within budget, which was a huge relief. We especially appreciated how meticulous his crews were – they kept the job site incredibly clean, which was really important considering we were still living in the house with four kids around. Doug was also a pleasure to work with, readily accommodating design changes and always keeping us informed about the progress and when to expect each stage and subcontractor. report abuse

They really took the time to understand our vision for our kitchen remodel, and Doug, Camden, Mat, and Sam were so professional and knowledgeable – it was clear they had a lot of experience building entire homes. What really stood out was their dedication; they even spent a full day driving two hours with us to a custom cabinet showroom, which was such a thoughtful way to help us make informed decisions. As it was our first remodel, we’d done quite a bit of research, but these guys made the whole process so stress-free. They were consistently communicative and respectful of our choices, and we stayed really close to the original timeline.   Honestly, we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Doug and the whole team at Two Storey Building really made our dream of turning our barn into an in-law apartment a reality. They were with us from the very beginning, guiding us through every stage – from the initial ideas to the final build-out.   Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the work done by TSB. They were a fantastic fit for our project – a small, unique build – and we really appreciated their environmentally conscious approach, willingness to adapt our plans, and even their help sourcing some fantastic recycled materials, including repurposing a barn board for the project. Working with them was a positive experience, and they clearly have a skilled team, coordinating everything from framing to plumbing and electrical work, and even securing a new well. Doug and his team were exceptionally courteous and respectful, even going the extra mile to ensure our 92-year-old neighbor wasn't disturbed. Given the delays many construction projects were experiencing during COVID, TSB’s proactive management minimized those issues. Mat, the lead carpenter, was a true asset, bringing valuable design insights while skillfully incorporating our vision. We'd rate them a solid 4.5 out of 5. We did encounter a few communication challenges, which we acknowledge were partly due to our limited experience with this type of project, but TSB was always responsive, took responsibility when needed, and genuinely wanted to ensure we were completely satisfied. They're truly good people who are passionate about delivering a great result, and we’d absolutely consider using them again in the future. report abuse
