  Faris did a really solid job managing this panel issue. It started to fail back in December, and he took the lead on getting a replacement approved by Panasonic – which unfortunately took a long time. He kept the process moving, staying in touch with Panasonic and ultimately securing a local electrician to get the job completed. report abuse

  Overall, I was pleased with Solar SME, though it wasn’t a completely straightforward process. I chose them specifically because they designed a system that met my needs and offered the equipment I wanted, and they presented themselves as a local, fully-managed operation. While they weren't the cheapest option, the installation itself was fantastic. The contractor working on the ground, led by a technician named Frank, was truly exceptional – his knowledge, communication, attention to detail, and the quality of the installation were top-notch. I worked closely with Ryan, my project manager, who seemed to be relatively new to windstorm barrier county projects, and he really stepped up to ensure everything was done correctly. There were a few long discussions to make sure we hit all the deliverables outlined in the contract. The system has been running smoothly for four weeks now without any issues, which is great. My advice would be to really scrutinize the contract and make sure you clearly define all your expectations upfront – I found myself referring back to it quite a bit to make sure everything was going as planned. report abuse

  We had a frustrating start with our Solar Edge inverter, which stopped working on September 1st. It took weeks to get someone to even look at the system, and Solar Edge themselves don’t provide service. Thankfully, New York Solar stepped in and were eventually able to diagnose the issue. They worked with Solar Edge’s technical team to get things moving, and after a lot of back-and-forth, the inverter was actually shipped to us – we hadn’t been made aware of that. We let New York Solar know about the arrival on Monday, and they responded incredibly quickly, sending a team out the next day to complete the replacement. We were really pleased with their service and how quickly they resolved the problem. report abuse

  Basem really went above and beyond to get my issue resolved. He and his team quickly addressed the squirrel damage, replacing the faulty panel and installing enhanced rodent protection – I was really impressed with the thoroughness and his dedication to ensuring the job was done right.   Overall, the Solar SME design and installation went really well. There were a few minor configuration hiccups after the project team took over, but thankfully Basem Yani stepped in and quickly sorted everything out. I’m now excited to start figuring out the best way to manage energy imports and find the right electricity plan. I especially want to give a big thanks to Frank, the on-site electrician – he was fantastic, keeping me updated and working incredibly hard to get everything installed and running smoothly. And thanks to Faris for his quick assistance with the recent cellular connection issue – now everything’s working perfectly with WIFI! report abuse

  Overall, we’ve been really pleased with SolarSME. It started with Ray, who was fantastic – he really took the time to explain everything clearly and break down the costs and system requirements. Once we moved into the design phase, Emir stepped in as our project manager, and he was consistently professional and kept us fully updated. Even though he wasn’t local, he handled everything brilliantly, from the initial inspection to coordinating the installation and ensuring all the materials arrived on time.   “Out of all the solar companies I contacted for my project, Mike Brown from Solar SME Inc. really stood out. He was incredibly efficient – he quickly showed me a detailed layout of my solar project using up-to-date software, which was much faster than waiting weeks for a plan from their team in India. I also appreciated that Mike immediately provided me with the link to the US Department of Energy’s information on tax credits; it really helped me make a well-informed decision about my solar project.
