  Overall, I’m really happy with the DogWatch system. It was a great solution for my 12-pound Schnoodle, and it’s given me so much peace of mind knowing she can safely enjoy the yard without bolting off. Setting it up was surprisingly easy – the installation took just a few hours, and the programming was simple. The small collar unit was definitely a step above what I’d seen from other companies. The initial training sessions were good, but I did find it a little frustrating that the trainer left the collar on tone only after the first session, and my dog is quite bold. I think if it had been on correction mode, she wouldn’t have broken through the fence line a few times. It was a bit puzzling that I wasn’t given the ‘key’ to adjust the levels right away, but I eventually got it after the second training session and switched to correction mode, and she's been perfect ever since. I also really appreciated the wireless pod – it’s fantastic for keeping her out of the mulch! Honestly, the only hiccup was the delay in getting the key, but aside from that, it’s been a fantastic product. I’d absolutely recommend DogWatch. report abuse

  Overall, I was initially a little worried about having three acres with so much wildlife, especially with my three dogs. I was concerned they’d chase after deer or other animals. But honestly, it’s been fantastic! Everything works really well. I especially want to commend Emilie – she was fantastic to work with and the prices were very competitive. My dog took to the training so well, and honestly, it’s completely transformed our time spent outdoors with her. Plus, we added the SideWalker collar, and it’s made a huge difference on our walks.   I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with the Dogwatch electric fence. Initially, the installation seemed promising, but it quickly fell apart. The installer didn't dig deep enough in several spots, damaging cables and nearly cutting them while he was working. They also lacked the necessary tools to complete the job properly on the first day. However, the biggest problem was the trainers. They sent a completely different trainer on the second day, and he was utterly ineffective. My dog was so stressed by being asked to walk away from our property and receiving shocks at level 5 that he became terrified of going outside for days. It was a truly traumatic experience. We had to essentially train him back to trusting coming out of the house ourselves. After multiple trainers, and with no real progress, I ended up training him myself. I’m convinced the repeated high-level shocks from the fence are what ultimately caused seizures in my dog within a few months – a serious concern I still have. I wish I’d gone with an invisible fence system, as others I’ve spoken with had much better experiences with more experienced installers and trainers. It's frustrating because the installation team seemed careless, and the trainers were simply not skilled enough. I wouldn’t recommend this system – it caused significant distress to my pet and nearly resulted in a serious health issue. report abuse

  “We were incredibly impressed with [Company Name] – they truly are the most professional and courteous company we’ve encountered in Michigan, and their prices were fantastic too! The service was outstanding. My husband accidentally cut our line twice, and he was a little frustrated at first, but Corey really stepped up and was so willing to come out a fourth time to fix it. Nick and his colleague were also fantastic, quickly repairing our line again. It’s clear they genuinely care about their clients and their pets – we especially appreciate their professionalism and empathy, especially with our jumper, [Pet’s Name], who loves to play with Charlie, a wonderful Golden Retriever!   I’m absolutely thrilled with my Dog Watch experience! From start to finish, everyone was so friendly and helpful. I had a bit of a tricky situation – I’d previously cut the old Dog Watch line while gardening, and then a stump grinder actually damaged it! Johnny came out to assess the damage, walked around my property with me, and patiently explained the options for repair versus replacement. He was really honest about the costs and risks, and we ultimately decided to go with a brand new installation. The installation itself was fantastic, and my dog loves his new Dog Watch! Johnny was just outstanding – he was punctual, kept me updated throughout the process, and was incredibly thorough. He took the time to explain everything to me and has even followed up a few times to see how our puppy was adjusting.   I’m so happy with the Wheatie and Havanese setup through the Dog Watch system – it’s been fantastic! We switched from our previous fence system with no problems at all, and both Remi and Oden are really enjoying it, which makes me incredibly happy.
