“I’m really pleased with the team – the sales staff were fantastic and the superintendent was incredibly knowledgeable. It’s also been fantastic to receive regular photos showing the progress of our home being built; it’s really reassuring to see everything moving along.”

“I really want to recommend Stepping Stone and Susan Miller. They made the whole new build process incredibly smooth for my clients – they consistently met all deadlines and were thrilled to be able to move in right before the holidays. If you’re searching for a truly hassle-free, fully-equipped new home, Stepping Stone is definitely the place to start!”

“Overall, the condos at Oak Creek are lovely, but there’s been a significant issue. Stepping Stone Developments took over the project, and while the units themselves are beautiful, the road hasn’t been completed as promised. The realtor representing the sellers had indicated that landscaping and the road would be finished after the first ten units were sold, but that hasn’t happened.”

“I was incredibly impressed with Stepping Stone – they truly went above and beyond. From start to finish, everything was handled with such professionalism and a real focus on getting the details right. They were fantastic about keeping me updated on the project's progress and were always quick to answer any questions or address any concerns I had. It felt like they genuinely cared about making sure I was happy with the whole process, and that level of communication and engagement really made a difference. I can’t recommend them highly enough – they’re a builder with a fantastic reputation for quality and a clear passion for building beautiful homes.”

Overall, this was a really frustrating experience. Getting in touch with the neighbors was a nightmare – their contact information was inaccurate and their answering system was completely unresponsive. Then, the quality of the work itself was concerning. The vinyl siding crew seemed rushed, and there were significant issues like pieces of siding with large holes and uneven installation. They clearly didn’t understand the importance of expansion joints, and nearly all the siding had to be replaced. Adding to the problems, the landscaper was brought in from a ridiculously long distance simply because they were the cheapest option, and their grading was completely incorrect, despite a professional assessment. And while the kitchen work was done perfectly, there were numerous other issues – the shutter screws weren’t tightened, and one of the downspouts was malfunctioning. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend using this company. It feels like a lot of showmanship with very poor execution, and I strongly advise buyers to be cautious.

“We absolutely loved our experience building with Stepping Stone Homes! We bought our house in June 2020 and would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking for a new home in Southeast Wisconsin. Honestly, we’d been searching for months, and Stepping Stone really stood out. The quality of their build and the materials they used were noticeably better than other builders in our price range – things like the quartz countertops and the smart home features were fantastic. But what really impressed us were the little details – things like the wider baseboards, the radon mitigation system, and the 3/4” subfloors. They also seemed to have a great relationship with their contractors, particularly the ones who handled the landscaping. Katy, the Warranty Manager, was amazing! She scheduled a thorough orientation session before we moved in, walking us through everything and making sure we were comfortable. And she even did a final walkthrough on closing day to address any small concerns we had. They went above and beyond, like when they completely repainted our front door instead of just touching up the scuffs – such a thoughtful touch! Katy’s been a huge help since we moved in, providing us with a ton of information and always being available to answer our questions. They even gave us an Amazon Echo at closing – a really nice surprise. It’s clear Stepping Stone is a company focused on doing things right, and they seem committed to building homes for the long haul. We’d definitely choose them again.”

“From the very beginning, our experience with this company was incredibly frustrating and disappointing. We quickly realized they used deceptive business tactics, and the quality of the work was shockingly poor. We started with a major issue – the landscaping was completely unsuitable, leading to standing water around our property, and they didn’t even bother to add the necessary soil. Then, the vinyl siding was installed terribly, requiring multiple replacements and highlighting a lack of attention to detail. The workers often didn’t speak English, and it was clear they prioritized speed over quality. We also encountered significant manufacturing defects, including doors needing to be replaced three times, and a fake “fireplace” that was just a light show. Throughout the entire process, communication was nearly impossible. Their office was difficult to locate, and they consistently discouraged us from visiting the site, likely because of the numerous problems they were hiding. They were incredibly slow to address issues, like a dangling downspout or a leaking foundation wall, and the overall impression was of a builder who wasn't committed to doing things right. Ultimately, we were left constantly monitoring the work and felt completely taken advantage of. We wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone.”

“I was really impressed with the level of service I received – not just during the house-buying process, but even after things were finalized. Heather, the sales manager, and Katie, the warranty manager, were fantastic and really went above and beyond to ensure I was completely satisfied. The house itself is in excellent condition, and I’m thrilled with my purchase. I’d definitely recommend this builder to anyone I know.”

Stepping Stone Homes truly gave me such peace of mind during my home renovation. It’s so reassuring to work with a company that prioritizes quality and genuinely cares about getting the job done right. I’d heard horror stories about unreliable contractors, and thankfully, that wasn’t our experience. They used skilled professionals and top-quality materials, and their NARI certification definitely adds to the confidence you have when choosing them – you know they’re committed to doing things the right way.
