“Overall, the quality of the work on my skylights and bay window was excellent – they look fantastic and were installed professionally. However, my experience with the company was really frustrating due to poor communication and significant delays. The original timeline for the bay window was 6-8 weeks, but it took over four months to complete. I struggled to get updates on the progress, and it felt like no one was taking overall responsibility. The installers themselves were great, but the coordination between the team and with me was a serious issue. I also experienced some confusion regarding billing. I was given the full cost of the project unexpectedly, four days after the bay window was installed, and I had to correct them. Finally, the communication felt disjointed – multiple people were sending emails without a clear understanding of the project’s status, which made the whole process incredibly stressful.”

Overall, we were extremely pleased with Capital Construction. They were incredibly professional and took the time to really understand our needs when getting the roof estimate – they presented us with several options and helped us find one that worked perfectly for our budget. The crew did a fantastic job, and we’re absolutely thrilled with the finished roof!

Working with the team at Capital was a fantastic experience. Jim Sakkos was incredibly helpful, taking the time to explain all my options and really finding a siding solution that fit both my budget and what I was looking for. They were also really efficient – the job was completed quickly, and the crew was professional, courteous, and kept everything so tidy. I’m absolutely thrilled with the result; my house looks fantastic!

“I had a really frustrating experience with Michael’s appointment on Saturday. He was over two hours late without any communication, and when I contacted the company to inquire, he still didn’t offer an explanation. He spent the entire time talking about the company’s history instead of addressing my request for a simple 30x30 stand-up shower. To then receive a message from Jeff saying he wouldn’t be coming due to a family emergency felt incredibly dishonest. And frankly, the final estimate of $29,000 for this small replacement was completely unreasonable. I’m not comfortable with that level of lack of communication and the inflated price.”

“I rarely write reviews, but I need to share my incredibly frustrating experience with this contracting company. They started out with the siding project seeming okay, but things quickly went downhill. They were scheduled to begin removing the old siding the Monday before Thanksgiving, with the insulation company arriving afterward. That never happened – they showed up on Friday and ripped out everything, which was fine, but then the insulation company couldn't come out until later, and the job was never completed. Unfortunately, they then insisted on replacing some wood that wasn't actually necessary, adding an extra $10,000 to the cost, which we couldn’t afford. Plus, they completely missed the follow-up on the final $10,000 financing. We were then relentlessly pursued for payment around the holidays, despite both my boyfriend and I being out of work and struggling financially. The workers themselves were excellent and did a fantastic job with the actual installation, but the contracting company’s organization and communication were terrible. To add insult to injury, they damaged our brand new driveway while they were working, and they didn’t even bother to protect it. They’ve stopped responding to my emails, and honestly, I'm still incredibly frustrated a month later.”

“I was really pleased with the price – it was very competitive, and the quality of the work was excellent. Ron McIntyre was fantastic to deal with; he was completely straightforward, explained everything clearly from the outset, and was always readily available to answer any questions I had. I’d definitely recommend him and the company.”

“I was really pleased with Capital – they were incredibly professional from start to finish. They always showed up on time and kept me fully informed throughout the whole roofing project. The quality of the materials they used was outstanding, and they completed the work exactly when they said they would. While they were a little pricier than some of the smaller companies, I definitely felt like I got great value for the high-quality service and results.”

Honestly, we were so thrilled when Barry first contacted us and we thought we’d found a fantastic roofing company. Unfortunately, things quickly went wrong. Within weeks of having our roof installed, we started getting a leak from the roof above our second floor – and we’ve never had a leak in our 25 years of owning the house. We’ve contacted them repeatedly, leaving several messages, but only one person came out and said it would be fixed, and it’s now been over five months! With all the rain we’ve had, the leak is still ongoing, and I’m seriously worried about a potential mold problem. Based on this experience, I wouldn’t recommend this company at all; it seems they don’t actually follow through on fixing issues.

Overall, our experience with this company was unfortunately quite disappointing. We initially appreciated the sales team – Cynthia, Louise, and Danny were really knowledgeable and professional, and helped us get the process started smoothly. However, things quickly went downhill from there. Communication was a huge issue; we constantly had to chase updates and often sent multiple emails just to get a response. There were also several missed appointments and, frustratingly, a significant mess left behind after the work was completed, with nails scattered across our deck and yard. Despite the good start with the sales team, the lack of communication and the final cleanup issues make us unable to recommend this company.

Capital Construction installed a rubber roof for our home in Cambridge, and initially it looked fantastic, complete with a 10-year warranty. However, within just one year, we had a serious problem – raccoons had managed to get underneath the rubber and caused significant damage, creating several large holes. This led to water leaking into our ceiling, which required a huge amount of time and effort to fix. What was most frustrating was that Capital Construction never responded to our calls after the damage occurred, and they didn’t even offer an apology. While they were quick to secure the sale and complete the installation, their lack of follow-up was completely unacceptable. Based on our experience, we wouldn't recommend this particular rubber roofing material – it’s clearly not durable enough to withstand critter activity, and the cost was exorbitant for what turned out to be a very poor outcome.
