  Overall, I’m absolutely thrilled with my new home – it’s truly gorgeous! Avalon and, especially, Joe, did a fantastic job. Joe was a lifesaver throughout the entire process, always keeping me informed and handling any issues with a calm and efficient approach. His lead carpenter, Danny, is seriously amazing; he’s incredibly skilled and takes such pride in his work – he’s truly the best. However, the biggest challenge was the lack of clear communication regarding timelines. I was initially very confused about the process and didn't receive any documented timelines, which led to a lot of anxiety. The project ultimately took much longer than initially estimated. I’d suggest a few things: be patient, as Joe’s involved, the work will be done well. Also, be meticulous when the house is delivered and make sure everything aligns with your expectations – speak up immediately if anything isn’t right. And, I’d really recommend researching your own tile supplier, as the tile work wasn’t quite what I hoped for. Finally, double-check any additions you make to the plans, like having the HVAC run into the garage – it ended up costing me extra. Despite these hiccups, Avalon and Joe were incredibly responsive and made several excellent adjustments. I’m so pleased with the final result, particularly the gorgeous wood floors and fantastic round window. I’m confident in the quality of the home and look forward to enjoying it! report abuse

  Working with Avalon Building Systems to build my mom’s Cape-style house was an absolutely fantastic experience. From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and focused on delivering exceptional quality. They really went above and beyond, using top-notch materials and ensuring every detail – from the framing to the finishes – was done with incredible craftsmanship. The house feels incredibly solid and well-built, and I have complete confidence it will last for years to come. What I really appreciated was their full-service approach; they handled everything, coordinating all the subcontractors, which took a huge weight off my shoulders. It meant I could concentrate on the enjoyable parts of the project, like choosing the finishes and imagining my mom’s happiness in her new home. I couldn’t be happier with the results! report abuse

  We are absolutely thrilled with our new home thanks to Avalon! Hilary, our designer, was fantastic – she really took the time to understand our vision and needs, and created a beautiful, custom-designed home that completely exceeded our expectations while staying within our budget. Chris, our supervisor, was also incredible, always available to answer our questions and keep us informed every step of the way. We especially appreciated his attention to detail and responsiveness. The quality of the materials used was truly impressive, even our family of professional contractors were blown away.   “I really can’t recommend this company. They charged us a hefty $3,000 just for a quote, and then completely failed to deliver. We didn’t get any follow-up or communication, and honestly, it was a huge waste of our time and a really disappointing experience. If you’re considering a modular home, I’d strongly suggest looking at other builders – it’s a valuable lesson learned.” report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Avalon. I commissioned them to build a modular home for over $260,000, and frankly, the quality of the work was shockingly poor. Once the build was complete, I had serious concerns about the workmanship, but they refused to even meet with me at my property to discuss these issues. They used subcontractors from out of state who weren’t qualified for the job, leaving a significant amount of work unfinished and the quality extremely subpar. To add to the frustration, they wouldn’t even correct the fact that all my trim, windows, and doors were supposed to be black – they’re all white! I’m so frustrated and regret ever using Avalon.
