“I really enjoyed Wray’s Pro Shaper presentations – especially the work with metal. It’s fantastic to see how they demonstrate a skill that you can really build on over time, and it’s great that it’s something you can continue to develop and improve no matter your age or goals. It’s just a really rewarding experience, and thanks to Wray and company for sharing it!”

Honestly, this class was a huge disappointment. The shop itself – despite looking impressive in the photos – was a mess, with a massive amount of unused parts and old cars taking up half the space. We spent the first day just wandering around, and it wasn’t until nearly seven hours in that we even got a glimpse of any actual metalworking. What we did see was very basic dent repair, not really teaching us any of the fundamental principles. It felt completely unstructured, like a free-for-all, and because we weren’t getting proper instruction, we were just making mistakes. The instructor, Wray, was clearly stretched incredibly thin; waiting even 20 minutes for a few minutes of his time because of so many other students was completely unproductive. It’s clear that the shop and his approach have changed, and unfortunately, I didn’t get my money’s worth – it was a complete waste. I wouldn't recommend this class.

We absolutely loved the four-day course at Pro Shaper Metal Works! My husband, who had some prior experience, and I – a complete beginner – found Wray to be an amazing instructor. He really packed in a lot of information and, crucially, we got to put everything into practice working on a fantastic project. We’re already planning on returning for another class and would wholeheartedly recommend Pro Shaper Metal Works to anyone interested in learning metalworking.

This is a fantastic place if you’re serious about learning metalshaping and coachbuilding – a really solid environment to develop your skills.

Overall, this is a really valuable place to learn, regardless of your experience level. You’ll definitely get a good return on your investment. I’d particularly recommend the 2-day course if you’re just starting out and don’t have a specific project in mind, but if you’re working on something already, the 4-day course is definitely worth it.

Overall, this was a fantastic experience. The shop was incredibly well-equipped, and the student projects were really demanding and thoughtfully designed. Mr. Wray was a wonderful instructor – he was patient and explained everything so clearly. It was definitely worth the investment of time and money.

“Wray and Company were fantastic – really friendly and clearly experts in what they do, which is quite specialized in compound sheet metal forming. Their workshop was also really well-kept and had all the right equipment.”
-
This was absolutely incredible – it felt like working alongside a true master, truly remarkable.
-
“I really enjoyed the 4-day class – I learned so much and met some fantastic people!”

He’s truly a master craftsman – a real artisan with an exceptional skill and a genuine passion for his work.
