I can’t recommend Mr. B’s HVAC service. My experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. Back in 2016, they diagnosed a problem with my system and insisted I needed a completely new unit, despite the unit actually being perfectly functional—a determination confirmed by a second opinion four years later. I was wrongly charged $185 for this incorrect diagnosis, and they only refunded the money after considerable pushback. More recently, when I contacted them for service, they refused to work on my property, claiming it was due to “past problems,” and even accusing me of hiring another company to fabricate issues. I found this accusation completely outrageous, and I believe Mr. B was upset that I took the initiative to get a second opinion and realized I was being overcharged. It’s clear from other reviews that I’m not the first person to experience disrespect and misleading diagnoses with this company.

Our technician, Jade, was fantastic today; he really went the extra mile to help us with the gas leak issue, and he answered all of our questions with such professionalism. I’m really disappointed with this experience. The technicians spent over three hours at my home, but only actually worked for about two and a half, and they still charged me for a full four hours. After they supposedly fixed the disconnected heat runs, there was barely any difference in the airflow. When I pointed this out, they passed the problem onto the office, who then sent someone over to try and justify the charges. Ultimately, they added an additional $186.07 to the bill, claiming they were just breaking even. It’s incredibly frustrating – they’re very clear about collection procedures, yet they seem completely uninterested in resolving the issue after I paid a significant deposit and received unsatisfactory service. I feel like I have no recourse and that my business wasn’t valued at all.

Overall, we were really pleased with the new air conditioning system Mister B’s installed. They worked incredibly efficiently – the crew was on time and got everything set up exactly as we wanted, including the placement to protect against hail while still ensuring good airflow. The changes they made to our existing system were really seamless. Now, even with today’s heat at 90 degrees, the main level of our house is staying comfortably cool at 72. The only small hiccup was that the crew briefly shut off the thermostat during the installation, but thankfully, once I connected the new smart thermostat, everything was back to normal. We were also a little surprised by the two-week delay in getting the electrician out, but Mister B’s sent a crew out immediately after the system was installed to make sure it was running perfectly. Considering the challenges posed by the Coronavirus, we felt they truly exceeded our expectations.
