I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience installing Pella windows at my home near Cheyenne. Two years ago, I chose Pella and worked with a local installer, Dave Walker from Laramie, who assured me the installation was worth the investment. I explained my plans to eventually re-side the house, and it seemed like a good first step. The windows arrived a couple of months later, and the installation was done in early 2023. However, when I started to remove the exterior trim to prepare for the siding project, I discovered a major oversight: the installers never removed the existing trim before installing the windows. This explains why the job was completed so quickly – they simply installed the windows directly onto the old trim. It cost me an extra $6,000 for this installation, and the team, consisting of three young guys in their late teens and early twenties, were only there for a single day. They didn’t seem to have a designated supervisor, which I found concerning. Honestly, the workmanship was shockingly poor, and I now have to spend my own money – 20 tubes of caulk – to properly seal the windows. I’ve attached photos documenting the issue. I strongly recommend hiring your own contractor to ensure a professional and complete installation.

Overall, we’re really pleased with our new Pella windows – we replaced eight double hung windows and the whole experience was fantastic. Chris was a great point of contact, and the installation team was incredibly efficient and did a truly impressive job; you could really see the quality of their workmanship. We especially appreciated having Pella handle everything from start to finish, and the ‘one-stop shop’ approach made the process so much smoother. While we did notice a couple of small issues with a couple of the sashes, Chris quickly stepped in and resolved them perfectly. We’re so glad we chose Pella – it was a great decision!

I can’t even begin to describe how incredibly frustrating my experience with Pella has been. Honestly, if I could give them negative stars, I would. They installed our windows back in late November, and it’s now halfway through April – five whole months – and they’re *still* not finished! It’s been nearly impossible to get in touch with them; calls go unanswered for months until finally, we were able to speak with the General Manager, Kyle. He initially told us the window and trim were scheduled to arrive within a couple of days, but then three weeks later, he had no idea what he’d said before, and the materials were still sitting on a truck. It’s clear they have no idea what they’re doing. I strongly advise against using Pella in Cheyenne or Casper – that’s where the GM is located – because the service is completely unacceptable.

Becky was fantastic to work with – really knowledgeable, approachable, and always willing to help. She has a great personality and, like a true Girl Scout, she consistently demonstrated a friendly, courteous, and kind attitude. I definitely look forward to collaborating with her again in the future.
