  “I recently did a curbside pickup for three cases of chlorine. I arrived around 1:00 p.m. on Saturday and followed the instructions by calling when I arrived. It took about 10 minutes to get through to someone, and I had to go outside and speak with the team loading the chlorine to confirm they had my order. They checked my name and eventually located my ticket. Honestly, the whole process took about 20 minutes – it could have been much quicker, especially since I’d placed my order online last night and paid this morning. I noticed several other cars came and went in about 20 minutes while I was waiting. Despite the slightly slow process, I’ll continue to shop here because I really appreciate the friendly staff, and Kathy is particularly wonderful.” report abuse

  “I’ve been incredibly pleased with Wind Surf & Sail over the years – they originally installed our pool over 25 years ago, and I’ve continued to use them for all my pool needs. They truly do an outstanding job! Recently, they’ve been working on a major renovation of our pool and patio, and the concrete crew was fantastic – so polite, efficient, and hardworking. Honestly, seeing their professionalism gave me a huge sense of confidence, especially since my neighbor used them to replace his driveway and he’s a really critical guy. He was absolutely thrilled with the work, and knowing Wind Surf & Sail has such a proven track record makes me completely confident in their ability to deliver a fantastic result on my pool redo.” report abuse

  I can’t recommend this pool store. My experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, dishonest. I purchased a pump back in June of 2017, but it broke just a few months later in August. When I returned it to the store, they promised to send it to the manufacturer for a replacement, but I never heard anything about it from Spring 2018 onwards. They essentially told me they’d lost it, offered a store credit as an apology, and then later claimed they’d found it – despite still having my original broken pump! They wouldn't even return it. After nine months of being given the runaround, I’m completely out of luck. I’m seriously considering legal action, simply to make a point. Honestly, there are plenty of other pool stores in the area – do your research and choose one that’s actually reliable. report abuse

  “I’ve been a loyal customer of Wind Surf and Sail for years, and I always appreciated their friendly and helpful staff, plus they had a really good selection of pool supplies and parts – and they were almost always in stock. It’s the only pool shop I’d ever go to. However, things have sadly changed recently. Over the last three years, the business has really declined, and I’d now rate it just two stars.” report abuse

  Overall, I had a really positive experience at Wind Surf & Sail Pools. The staff were consistently friendly and seemed really knowledgeable, and my daughter especially loves going in for the parties they host – we missed them last year but are really looking forward to this year’s! My only suggestion would be to expand the spa area with more brand options. It would be great to see a wider selection. report abuse

  “I was really excited to get a pool installed, especially since I’d heard such good things about this company. However, the owner completely dismissed my project, saying it wasn’t worth his time. It seemed incredibly rude, and frankly, it felt like he didn’t want to take on my business. To add to the frustration, he later corrected the measurement requirements, claiming the city of Troy demands a five-foot setback – something that was actually shown in the initial drawings. He was dismissive and unprofessional, and ultimately ended the conversation abruptly. It’s important to have accurate information before contacting a client.” report abuse

  Wind Surf & Sail is seriously the best pool store I’ve found in Macomb County. I recently bought a Dolphin pool cleaner based on their advice, and it’s absolutely fantastic – the best I’ve ever owned! Cathy, Aaron, and Patrick were all so helpful and knowledgeable, making the whole experience really enjoyable. In fact, so many of my friends who have pools go straight to them for chemicals and supplies. The store itself is always spotless, incredibly well-organized, and they have everything you could possibly need. Definitely a top-notch operation! report abuse

  “We were really disappointed with our experience purchasing a pool from this company. The installer they recommended didn’t show up, leaving us to assemble the pool ourselves – a huge inconvenience we hadn't anticipated. They didn’t offer any support or guidance, and they didn’t even provide us with information on how to properly maintain the water or sell us any necessary chemicals. As first-time pool owners, we felt completely unsupported. Honestly, it felt like they were just after our money. We’re now going to a different store for our pool supplies and would not recommend them to others.” report abuse
