My husband and I were so impressed with the beautiful renovation he did in our guest and master bathrooms – the tile work is fantastic and we’ve gotten endless compliments. Chris was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process, patiently guiding us through all the decisions about tile, paint, countertops, and everything else. His team was fantastic – really friendly and professional. He was always quick to respond and his initial estimate was exactly what we paid.   “We couldn’t be happier with the work Aggieland Contracting did for us. Chris and his team have consistently impressed us over the years, most recently with the fantastic renovation of our attic into a two-bedroom suite for our daughters. They’ve tackled everything from custom bookshelves to a full floor replacement, and our realtor even commented on the exceptional quality of their work during our addition project. During our recent work, we added over 800 square feet, including a new staircase and a renovated mudroom/laundry room – and all inspections passed with flying colors. Chris’s architect designed a truly beautiful space, and his subcontractors were incredibly friendly and hardworking, never making us feel rushed or uncomfortable. We really appreciated Chris’s willingness to work with us on changes, like when we wanted to upgrade the custom door for our wine cellar. He always took the time to listen to our concerns and clearly outlined any additional costs, ensuring we were always in the loop. It was fantastic to feel like we had a collaborative partnership. While construction always has its challenges, Chris and his team were always honest and responsive, quickly resolving any issues.   Chris from Aggieland Contracting has been absolutely fantastic to work with – we’ve been using his services since 2020, and we couldn't be happier. He’s incredibly reliable, always punctual with his quotes and appointments, and he’s fantastic at incorporating our ideas. We love sending him pictures of what we envision, and he consistently delivers amazing results, no matter how big or small the project. From skylights and custom gates to new fencing and window installations, he’s handled everything with professionalism and care. He’s also a really good communicator, whether it’s via email or phone, and he genuinely wants to ensure we’re thrilled with the final product.   “We’re absolutely thrilled with our new roof – Chris and his team did an outstanding job! They were so efficient and professional, getting the old shingles off and the new ones on exactly when they said they would. And they didn’t just do a great job, they cleaned up after themselves, removing all the old materials. The new gutters they installed fit perfectly and work flawlessly. Because of their quality and reliability, we’ve already hired them to tackle a large branch removal and some minor repairs on another roof – they handled the branch removal with care, and took care of all the debris.   “We couldn’t be happier with the work Aggieland Contracting did for us. We had a really serious roof problem – a tree fell and caused significant damage – and Chris and his team responded immediately, recognizing how urgent the situation was. They were fantastic, explaining everything clearly and doing the job with a real level of professionalism. Because the roof was also old, we ended up having them replace the entire thing, and we were so impressed with their quality of work that we didn't hesitate.   I really regret working with Chris and Aggieland Contracting. While his crew was actually quite helpful and did a fantastic job fixing issues like wood rot and a wrongly installed drain, Chris himself was a huge problem. He initially promised an ADA-compliant shower for my remodel, but then tried to charge me an extra $615 for grab bars – something he’d initially offered to include for free, just to avoid negative reviews. It felt incredibly deceptive. Beyond that, he installed a fiberglass door instead of the steel one I’d requested, and later tried to charge me an additional $4500 for a completely different door. It felt like he was deliberately trying to take advantage of me. At the end of the day, his lack of professionalism, including the frankly insulting comment he made during one of our phone calls, made the whole experience incredibly stressful. I wish I’d done more research beforehand and I would urge anyone considering hiring him to carefully scrutinize every detail of the quote and to be aware that his priority seems to be getting paid, not delivering on his promises. report abuse
