Working with Drio on our new website was a genuinely fantastic experience. From beginning to end, they were incredibly collaborative and made the whole process so smooth and efficient. Their communication was excellent – they kept us fully informed and responded quickly to everything. We really appreciated their trust in us and their willingness to work closely with us to bring our vision to life. It was a truly great partnership, and we’d definitely like to work with them again in the future.

“We had a really frustrating experience with this insurance company’s contractor, Mr. Nichols. Back in 2015, he was sent to our townhouse on MLK Jr. Ave in DC to address a roof leak where it met the neighboring house, and a resulting mold problem. The house had to be emptied and some walls and carpet replaced. Six months later, we were told the job was complete, but upon moving back in, it was clear a lot of corners had been cut – wiring wasn’t installed correctly, and some walls needed to be fully replaced. I even had to show a worker how to properly seal a gap under a bathroom window. Despite this, the roof continued to leak, and Mr. Nichols has been called out multiple times to fix it, most recently in the spring of 2020, when he suggested a larger drain and repairs costing $1100. Now, our ceilings are collapsing again in that same area, and the mold is back. The insurance company is essentially saying they can’t do anything unless Mr. Nichols honors the warranty. Honestly, we wouldn’t recommend him – it seems like a poor job overall, and we’d definitely advise checking with other contractors before making a decision.”

Honestly, I can’t recommend working with Nickolas Contracting. From my experience, it’s a really unprofessional and frankly, quite toxic environment. There’s a complete lack of accountability and a consistently negative attitude towards employees. The compensation is significantly below market, the working conditions are poor, and the owner and his son seem to operate with a completely inappropriate sense of entitlement. Furthermore, they appear to disregard building codes and permits – if you’re looking for a contractor who isn’t concerned with doing things the right way, then this might be your place, but I strongly advise you to avoid them.

“If you value trustworthiness and ethical business practices in a contractor, I strongly advise against using Nichols Contracting.”

“It seems some of the positive feedback we’ve received is coming from within the company – primarily from employees. We need to focus on gathering more unbiased reviews.”
