“From start to finish, Factor truly impressed us. We were planning a significant renovation of our old bungalow and, after researching several companies, we chose Factor and put down a substantial deposit. Unfortunately, some unexpected family health issues arose and we had to put the renovation on hold. Josh was absolutely fantastic – he immediately returned our entire deposit with such understanding and compassion. It was clear we’d made the right choice going with Factor, and I wholeheartedly recommend them.”

“We couldn’t be happier with the team at Factor, Design and Build. My husband and I had been dreaming of renovating our 1940s home in Hilltop for over 20 years, specifically our cramped bathroom and tiny, dark bedroom. Factor completely transformed our house – they designed a wonderfully spacious and light bedroom and a beautiful bathroom that perfectly complements our 2000 square feet. The whole team was fantastic. Travis Orme, our contractor, was truly exceptional. He wasn't just a builder; he understood the entire design process and always had a clear, efficient plan, especially when new ideas or challenges came up. And he was so honest and reliable! Patrick, the lead carpenter, was a joy to work with – his woodworking skills were incredible, and I especially loved the little touch he added, finding those old poetry books for my father. Travis Cebula, another carpenter who used to be a Factor client himself, brought so many creative details to our bedroom. Honestly, we felt completely safe and supported throughout the entire process. It was clear they cared about making our home feel comfortable and secure, even going above and beyond, like shoveling our driveway during the winter. We really felt like we could trust them completely. We wouldn't hesitate to use Factor again.” – *Julie and Charlie Farwell*

“Factor did an absolutely fantastic job on our total remodel, which started back in February of 2020. It was definitely a challenging time to be building with everything going on with the pandemic, but we couldn’t be more thrilled with the final result. The quality of their work is outstanding – it’s exactly the house I’d always envisioned.”

“My wife and I embarked on a design-build project in 2017, wanting to create a truly luxurious master suite in our mid-century home – something that hadn’t been a priority when it was originally built. We decided the easiest way to do this was to remove an old sunroom, open up a wall, and combine two bedrooms. We knew we needed someone reliable, especially since we wanted to live in the house during the entire renovation. We interviewed a few firms, and ultimately chose Factor Design Build. From the very beginning, we felt like they were a genuine family – Josh Fiester and Jane Blumer, in particular, really cared about our vision and making the process enjoyable. It was such a relief knowing we had a team we could trust and spend time with while our home was being transformed. Factor consistently exceeded our expectations, handling everything from interior design to the solid construction, and seamlessly blending the new additions with the original structure. Because our home holds so many memories, it was incredibly important to us that they preserve the character and ‘good bones’ of the house. The team – Josh, Kent, Jane, Jenny, Travis Orme, and Travis Surkalo – is truly exceptional. They’re honest, funny, and incredibly skilled. It was a huge benefit to have them in our home for so long, and we genuinely enjoyed getting to know them. While construction always has its challenges, Factor’s collaborative approach and attention to detail made the whole experience wonderful. Looking back, we wouldn't trade it for anything – we even cried when they finally finished!”

“Factor Design Build has been a truly wonderful partner to Colorado Trout Unlimited. They’ve consistently shown their support for our efforts to protect, conserve, and restore Colorado’s incredible coldwater fisheries – and it’s clear this commitment comes from a genuine desire to support both our community and the environment.”

“I initially contacted this company for a simple addition to my home, and was really impressed with the positive reviews I’d read. However, my experience with Josh was quite disappointing. The initial consultation was rushed and he seemed to rely heavily on just looking at Google Street View to assess the project. He quoted a high-end price of around $1,000 per square foot and requested a $10,000 retainer. Unfortunately, he never followed up, and I felt like he wasn’t genuinely interested in my project. Based on that first interaction, I wouldn't recommend them – it felt like a quick, perhaps even dismissive, offer. Two months later, still no communication, which confirms my initial impression.”

Honestly, I don’t usually write reviews, but my experience with FDB was just so exceptional that I had to share it. My wife and I recently renovated our basement, and we’d started the project during the construction phase but hadn’t quite brought it to its full potential. We really wanted to transform it into a warm, inviting space. We were nervous about finding the right contractor – we’d had some really disappointing experiences in the past. But FDB was a completely different story. They treated us with a level of professionalism we hadn’t encountered before in the industry, from their design work to the constant care they took of our house during construction. They kept us fully informed with weekly meetings and, incredibly, they finished the project on time and within budget! It’s rare to find a contractor who can deliver on both those things, and it gave us such peace of mind. We got exactly what we wanted, and more – I wholeheartedly recommend FDB.

“We were absolutely thrilled with the service we received! We had a really complex home renovation project and the team was fantastic – incredibly patient and helpful, especially with all our specific requests. They truly understood our vision and worked with us every step of the way, making what could have been a stressful experience surprisingly smooth and easy. We wholeheartedly recommend them.”
