  “I seriously can’t recommend Zac enough! We were facing a complete septic tank and drainfield disaster, and he was a lifesaver. Not only did he expertly install a new system and drainfield, but he also took care of grading our entire front yard and added topsoil – he even prepped everything perfectly for seeding! It was incredible to have one company handle everything, from grading to the final preparation. Zac took care of so many details – pulling out posts, removing a dead tree, and filling in all the holes. He’s a true one-stop excavating guy! He managed the whole project with such ease, always kept us informed and within budget, and was incredibly professional and punctual.   “I was incredibly impressed with H&M’s work – they really delivered! They tackled a major issue for me: the basketball court the previous owner had built was turning my backyard into a swamp. They not only had it removed, but they expertly installed drain lines to fix the problem. It turns out the original plan had some issues, and they were completely upfront with me about needing to adjust to a 7” and 4” concrete pad, plus a significant support structure for the hoop. What really stood out was Zac’s honesty and his efforts to minimize the cost changes for me. He was also incredibly considerate, making sure my dogs had plenty of breaks while he was working. Honestly, I couldn’t get any of the bigger contractors to respond to my initial inquiry, but H&M was fantastic. If you’re looking for a reliable and honest contractor for a residential project, I highly recommend H&M!” report abuse

  Zac did an absolutely fantastic job – we were so impressed with his professionalism and the whole process. We hired him to install a new septic system on our historic property, which was in pretty rough shape, and he handled everything with such clarity and fairness. He walked us and my wife through every step, from the initial assessment all the way through the final inspection and grading. We really appreciated how kept us informed and how confident we felt throughout the entire project. We even added the extra detail of having crushed concrete delivered for the driveway at the last minute, and he handled everything with such care and precision.   “We’ve been dealing with a persistent water problem in our new home since we moved in last October. Because our lot is quite low-lying and prone to flooding, our sump pump was running constantly throughout the winter and spring. We realized we needed a proper solution, specifically wanting to have the sump pump line buried in a tile system and the downspouts connected to the existing drainage. Zach came out and really listened to our concerns, sketching out a plan on a whiteboard. We agreed to his proposal to completely redo the tile system. He did a fantastic job, getting the work done in just two days – though we did have some minor damage to the lawn, which is understandable with the excavation. Honestly, the difference is incredible! The sump pump hasn't been running nearly as much, and the amount of water flowing into the basement has dramatically decreased. Zach is a really reliable and hardworking guy, and you can tell he genuinely cares about his business. It was great to have our problem solved and to support someone who provides such quality service.” report abuse

  Zac and H & M Excavating did an absolutely fantastic job on our project. We had a couple of lots that required some pretty complex excavation, including crossing a small stream and navigating state, county, and township regulations. Zac really impressed me with his knowledge of property lines and easements – he made sure everything was handled correctly and the project ran incredibly smoothly.
