  We couldn’t be more thrilled with the work Mankato’s Landshapes did on our patio project! Luke and his team were truly professional and did an outstanding job – they really went above and beyond. Despite the challenging weather with all the rain, they managed to complete the project beautifully. They tackled a huge undertaking – including a full concrete patio and fire pit demo, grading, removing an old fence and all the old landscaping, plus rock and boulder removal. The result is fantastic: a gorgeous paver patio, a charming stone pathway, a new fire ring, beautiful plantings and a brand-new fence with smart lighting. Luke kept us updated throughout the entire process, and the crew was incredibly friendly, hardworking, and responsive to any changes we requested.   Mankato Landshapes were fantastic to work with – truly a pleasure! They were incredibly professional and always quick to respond, and we really appreciated their flexibility throughout the project. We had a bit of a concern with water leaking around the foundation, and they were really helpful, explaining clearly why our initial ideas wouldn’t have given us the best outcome. We’re so glad we listened to their advice, as a huge rainstorm hit the next day and, miraculously, our basement stayed completely dry! The whole crew was also incredibly kind and respectful of our property – you’d never even know they were working with a skid loader on the lawn. I wholeheartedly recommend Mankato Landshapes – we’d definitely use them again for any future projects! report abuse

  Mankato Landshapes did an absolutely fantastic job installing a permanent fence around our property, and we couldn’t be happier with the results. We initially worked with Todd and his crew to plan everything – the fence itself, brick edging, decorative rocks, removing some trees, building a retaining wall, and even leveling out a tricky corner of our backyard. They started in April 2016, and their attention to detail was truly impressive, especially considering our sloping yard. They took extra care installing the posts, even having to remove and replace some to ensure everything was perfectly aligned with the grade. The final fence, with its three gates, was a beautiful, secure space for our pets to roam. After the fence was up, they added the brick edging and rocks, which really completed the look and helped keep our puppy safely contained. We’ve been so pleased with the work. We did have one minor issue with one of the gates, but Todd and his crew responded incredibly quickly. They came out within a day to fix it, and they’ve been wonderful to deal with throughout. It’s reassuring to know you can rely on a company with such a dedicated team. Honestly, we appreciate their commitment to quality and customer service – it’s exactly the kind of ethical and responsive service we look for in a landscaping company. We highly recommend Mankato Landshapes; they’re a premium choice and we'd certainly use them again! report abuse

  Overall, our experience with Green Care was a bit frustrating. We initially got a fast and fair quote for a vinyl fence, and the installation itself was excellent – honestly, I couldn’t have built it myself. However, the billing process was a major issue. The price suddenly jumped by almost $3,000 on the day they were scheduled to start, and it seemed like they were adding charges on the fly. They blamed it on changes to our plans, but the increase felt excessive, especially considering we’d made a few minor adjustments. They were initially defensive about the original quote, and the explanation about the extra gate and fence seemed questionable. Adding to the problem, one of the installers unfortunately damaged our sprinkler line, which required a significant repair. While Green Care did a fantastic job fixing it, it’s standard practice for the fence company to share the cost, but they weren't willing to. Despite the fence itself being well-done, I felt like the inconsistent pricing and handling of unforeseen issues left a bad taste. Honestly, given this experience, I wouldn’t necessarily recommend Green Care – it felt a little like they weren't transparent about costs. report abuse

  Luke was fantastic – he really nailed the design and execution of our dry bed water retention area, and I couldn’t be happier with the results. Five stars! Unfortunately, Todd’s billing and communication regarding the brush tree removal was a real letdown; I’d give it only one star. report abuse
