  Overall, my experience with HFC was incredibly disappointing. The flooring products themselves seemed decent, but the installation was a complete mess. One of the installers essentially did nothing for three days, and I ended up having to step in and help with the lifting. To top it off, the laminate is uneven – sitting an inch above the floor in two spots, making it feel unstable. They even admitted they didn’t bother leveling the subfloor beforehand! Adding to the frustration, the lally column wasn’t properly trimmed, leaving a noticeable gap, and the final invoice was a nightmare; it was completely unitemized and included unexplained charges. When I raised these concerns, the co-owner dismissed my attempts to resolve the issues, accusing me of simply wanting a discount – which was completely untrue. Honestly, it felt like they had low standards and didn’t care about providing a quality service. report abuse

  “I absolutely love my new kitchen backsplash! They did a full wall installation, and initially it was a bit darker than I’d pictured. But the team was fantastic – they really went the extra mile to adjust the color until it was perfect. I’m so thrilled with the final result, and I’d highly recommend them – they clearly care about their customers and their work is top-notch.” report abuse

  I was really disappointed with the final result. I specifically requested black and white tile to match my existing art deco floor, and what was installed is a dark grey tile – apparently because their usual supplier didn’t have black in stock. It felt like they hadn't even bothered looking for black tile and didn’t think to let me know about the change. While I understand my mistake in assuming “Midnight” was truly black, I was frustrated that they didn’t take any responsibility for the error or acknowledge my concern. I wouldn’t recommend this company based on my experience. report abuse

  I am incredibly disappointed with my experience working with HFC. From the start, there were serious communication issues and a complete lack of transparency. They took my deposit and scheduled the project, but didn’t tell me they were using a third-party company to actually do the work. Then, on the day the crew was supposed to arrive, nobody showed up, and HFC had absolutely no record of the appointment or even my address! It was a constant cycle of broken promises and being passed around. Honestly, the level of incompetence and dishonesty was shocking. I can’t recommend HFC – avoid them at all costs. report abuse
