  “I’m so grateful to Gunnar Electric! My mother was going through a really stressful situation – her kitchen, bathroom, and microwave lights were flickering and dying, and eventually everything just stopped working. Another electrician spent over $3,300 replacing outlets, switches, and lights, but the problem kept recurring. It felt like he was trying to upsell her on unnecessary things. Thankfully, we called Gunnar Electric, and they quickly identified the issue – a faulty breaker – and got it fixed within a few hours for a fantastic price.   Overall, our experience with Gunnar Electric was disappointing. We initially contacted them based on some positive reviews, but the final quote was significantly higher than what we received from other electricians in the area. The initial visit involved a $100 fee for the electrician’s time, which we understood was typical, but the electrician didn’t seem to fully listen to our needs – specifically, some items we requested be excluded from the work were still included in the quote. We also weren’t given a clear explanation about the scope of work, including a planned ductwork installation for a kitchen range hood. Ultimately, the quotes were almost double what we were offered by other companies, and our neighbors and friends confirmed that Gunnar Electric’s prices were considerably higher. We ended up going with a different company based on a recommendation, and they provided a much more reasonable and transparent estimate process. report abuse

  “I was really impressed with this team. They handled hanging our chandelier with such professionalism and speed – it was a complex job with a high ceiling, and they tackled it flawlessly. What really stood out was their proactive communication; they reached out well in advance to discuss the plan and even sent someone ahead to assess the space. They were incredibly thorough, setting up the scaffolding and everything. And to top it off, they expertly rewired some switches, even fixing a switch that had been malfunctioning for years!   “I just wanted to share my incredibly positive experience with Gunner after a recent snowstorm caused a tree to damage my power lines. I was having a really frustrating time getting anyone to respond, with some other contractors promising weeks-long delays. But Gunner was fantastic from the start! Elizabeth was amazing, quickly rearranging schedules to get Steve out to my house within just two hours.   Okay, here’s a natural-sounding evaluation based on the text: “I rarely write negative reviews, and I truly wanted to be fair. My goal here is just to share my experience. I hired Gunnar Electric to replace my old fuse box with a 220-volt connection, and unfortunately, it didn’t go well. They initially said there’d be a two-week wait after just asking to see a picture of my existing box. Once they arrived, they immediately said the situation was worse than anticipated. I was willing to work with them, and I actually took it upon myself to remove an obstructing cabinet and even arranged for a ground line to be installed. However, at the very end, they told me the electrical box was in the bathroom, which was a completely unexpected problem after all the work I’d already done. The receptionist was incredibly kind and helpful, and the technician who initially assessed the job was polite and explained the situation – though, of course, that explanation came after a two-week wait and me taking care of some of the preliminary work. Looking back, I would definitely insist on everything being documented in writing, and I’d probably look for a different electrician if I needed something done quickly or with a firm budget in mind.” report abuse
