Overall, this was a really positive experience – the fence looks fantastic and they did a fantastic job installing it, taking extra care around all the sprinkler systems and wiring. It was installed exactly when they promised. However, the final bill was a bit of a surprise and significantly higher than anticipated, and the explanation wasn’t entirely clear. Thankfully, the company quickly investigated and realized there was a small error on their end. It just goes to show, it’s always worth double-checking the final invoice if it seems unusually high – mistakes can happen, but they were happy to sort it out.

“I was really impressed with the whole experience – from the initial sales process to the final installation. The team kept me perfectly informed throughout, and it was great to have a really clear understanding of the plan. Plus, they actually finished the job ahead of schedule, which was fantastic!”

“I’m really pleased with my experience so far. I was looking for a quote for a new fence and they responded incredibly quickly – they even scheduled a visit within a few days to provide the quote. It’s great to see such a responsive and professional service, especially compared to the other local companies I contacted who didn’t even bother to return my calls. I’ll let you know how the actual fence installation goes!”

I was really frustrated with the lack of communication throughout this whole process. I first contacted them about the installation timeline and was told the owner wasn’t available. Then, when I realized my dog was escaping due to the fence not extending to the property line, I had to call again. To add to that, the fence failed inspection the next day, and despite being promised updates, I had to repeatedly call to find out what was happening. It felt like I was chasing them down for information, and it wasn’t until the final bill was requested that I finally heard from the owner.

Honestly, I would not recommend Sterling Fence. Our experience was incredibly frustrating and concerning. We hired them to replace a fence due to our autistic son’s tendency to wander, and the previous fence simply wasn’t secure. They left the old fence posts in the ground and it took a whole month – two weeks just to put in the new posts and another two weeks for the panels – which left our son in a potentially dangerous situation. The communication was absolutely terrible; they repeatedly missed scheduled appointments without letting us know, and it took days to get them to respond to our calls. We had to constantly chase them for a schedule, and they never proactively provided any information. Ultimately, the poor professionalism and lack of communication made the entire process unacceptable.

“Overall, we were really pleased with the work Sterling did on our fence. They were incredibly responsive and the installation team was fantastic – they kept us updated throughout the whole process, which we really appreciated. Building the fence on-site gave them the flexibility to make any necessary adjustments with our approval, and everyone we spoke with was very communicative.”

“We’re really pleased with the new privacy fence – it looks fantastic! We’ve used Sterling Fence before and have always been impressed with their quality of work. The crew was incredibly professional, courteous, and they were really efficient, finishing the job in just under three hours. We’d definitely recommend them.”

“I was so frustrated trying to find the specific part I needed for my fence, and no one seemed to be able to help. But Sterling Fence went above and beyond – they had the part and were incredibly kind and helpful. I really appreciate their service!”
-
“Overall, it was a really good experience. There were a few moments where communication could have been smoother, but the team really listened to me and followed my instructions perfectly. I’m very pleased with the finished fence!”

Honestly, we had a really terrible experience with Sterling Fence. We were hopeful after hearing some initial negative reviews, but unfortunately, our experience was far worse than we could have imagined. They completely botched the job, causing a huge amount of wasted time, stress, and even damaging part of our yard – and, crucially, they didn’t even bother to contact the city about necessary setbacks. To add to the frustration, they’ve created three completely different invoices, trying to shift the blame and costs onto us. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the situation, they were simply unwilling to cooperate. It’s clear they don’t prioritize their customers’ needs, and we strongly advise others to avoid them.
