“Honestly, my experience with Cat was incredibly frustrating. I kept going back for warranty work on a truck that just wasn’t built to last. They replaced a cracked head, and while the liners looked good at the time, they cracked again just a few months later. Then, I installed the gold kit with the extended warranty, and shortly after, a head gasket blew, requiring a whole cylinder pack and new rings – and of course, that wasn’t covered. From the beginning, the truck had a persistent misfire and terrible fuel economy, but I was repeatedly told everything was “within spec.” After just three months, a fuel injector failed in cylinder one, and I finally gave up and took it to another shop. They discovered significant liner protrusion and erosion in the block – issues that shouldn’t have occurred after 240,000 miles! To top it off, the head gasket was already failing again. I ended up spending twice what an overhaul would have cost, and this engine couldn't even make it 240,000 miles without the head coming off. Cat sent a service truck to check the specs, and they assured me everything was fine, but it was clear to me that they weren’t addressing the underlying problems. It’s been a nightmare, and it’s put a huge amount of stress on my family – I really wish things had gone differently.”

“I’ve had a really frustrating experience with Ziegler. I recently purchased two pieces of equipment from them, and one – the mini ex 305.5 – just needed warranty work. It turned out there was a known issue with the turntable bolts coming loose from the factory, and unfortunately, mine was affected. I wish I’d known about the service bulletin, but I hadn’t received it. They did cover the repair under warranty, but it was a 50/50 split, and I was pretty upset about that, especially since it was a factory defect. I spoke to the management about it, but they weren’t particularly receptive. After a lot of back and forth – including multiple calls and being passed around to different people – I still hadn’t heard back after a couple of weeks. Honestly, it felt like Ziegler just didn’t prioritize my business. The salesman I eventually spoke with was friendly enough, but the whole process felt incredibly disorganized and lacked any real attention. At this point, I’m seriously considering switching to a different brand and dealership. It’s clear Ziegler doesn’t value smaller operations like mine, and I don’t want to be left hanging like this. I’m definitely not impressed and won’t be buying any more equipment from them.”

“I was really impressed with the service I received at Zeigler CAT. They quickly pulled a combine out of the shop to address the electrical issue on my trailer, and I truly appreciated their willingness to go the extra mile to get me taken care of.”

“I just wanted to give a huge shout-out to the on-call parts guy – he really went above and beyond to get us the parts we needed during the crazy snow storm, keeping our machine running when we really needed it.”
-
“I popped in to say hello to the team – they’ve been there a good while now, so I wanted to drop off a few presents.”
-
Honestly, I was really disappointed with this place. The management seems completely out of touch, and I wouldn't recommend buying anything here. I’d suggest exploring other Cat dealerships – there are better options out there.
