Frank Roscoe from Elmech Industrial Services did a fantastic job assessing the foundation of the row home we were considering buying. He really took the time to thoroughly examine the property and explained in detail how he’d arrived at his conclusions about the damage. We felt completely confident in his assessment and the recommended steps to take, which ultimately helped us make a comfortable decision to purchase the home. We got excellent value for the price and would absolutely recommend him as a structural engineer.

“We were really pleased with the service we received. Scheduling a visit with the structural engineer, Mr. Roscoe, was incredibly straightforward. He arrived promptly, conducted a thorough inspection of the foundation crack – actually going beyond what we initially expected – and took the time to patiently explain everything to us, answering all our questions completely. We also received the detailed report very quickly. We’d absolutely hire this company again and would confidently recommend them to anyone.”

“I just wanted to say how incredibly pleased we are with Elmech. I’ve been working with Ian over the past two years on a few commercial projects, and he’s been fantastic. Seriously, every time I submitted our engineering plans to the Spotsylvania County planning department, they were approved immediately – no revisions needed! And to top it off, Elmech’s pricing was the best I received from all the other engineering firms. They handle everything from building permits and additions to complex site plans and even fire suppression systems. If you're looking for a truly honest, reliable, and fast engineering company, you’ve found them. Thanks so much, Elmech!” – Jo Jami, CarFair Inc.

Frank Roscoe was fantastic – truly a lifesaver when it came to understanding the structural aspects of my home. He has a really impressive level of knowledge, but he explained everything in a way that was completely easy to understand. He took the time to walk through my entire house, clearly identifying the load-bearing walls and which ones could be safely moved. I wholeheartedly recommend Mr. Roscoe to anyone needing structural engineering advice.

I’m incredibly disappointed with the experience I had working with Mark and Ian at [Company Name]. I initially hired them in April 2017 for a straightforward job in Arlington, providing them with detailed plans, AutoCAD files, and equipment lists. Mark immediately referred me to his assistant, Ian Spivack, who’s licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and DC. Despite their promise of completing the work within three weeks, we’re now nearing November and had to find another firm to finish the project. The new firm had absolutely no experience with commercial projects, and Mark hasn't taken any responsibility after subcontracting the job out. It seems they often target people looking for architectural services on Craigslist. Worse still, they essentially trick clients by having the client submit the plans to the county – meaning they’ve already received the full payment and you’re the one facing the county’s scrutiny. They disappear as soon as the work is outsourced, leaving you to deal with the mess and extra costs. Honestly, giving them my project was a huge risk, and I can confidently say you’ll never get accurate drawings from them. I’m deeply ashamed of Mark B and Ian Spivack’s unprofessional conduct, and we intend to report them to the DPOR Regulations in all three states and pursue legal action for the damages they’ve caused.

I was incredibly impressed with Elmech – they produced some absolutely stunning MEP drawings for me, honestly the best I’ve ever seen. What really stood out was how quickly they turned them around; it was fantastic! I’d definitely recommend them to anyone needing top-quality drawings and a speedy service.
-
“I was really impressed with this company! They were incredibly professional and completed the home design exactly on schedule, and it was fully approved by the county. To top it off, they even offered a free inspection during construction, which saved me a huge amount of stress – I can’t recommend them enough!”
-
“Overall, I’ve been really pleased with their work. They’re consistently reliable, deliver high-quality projects, and always manage to meet deadlines – which is fantastic for a mid-sized builder like myself.”
-
“I’ve been really pleased with their work – I’ve used them on a few different projects and haven’t had any issues at all. They’re knowledgeable and consistently deliver on time.”
-
“We consistently receive feedback that we’re the leading MEP shop drawings provider in the country – a title we take very seriously and continually strive to maintain.”
