I just wanted to send a follow-up review to express how incredibly pleased I am with the service I received from Blue Dot. After Andrew’s initial assessment, I realized I needed a new system, and I’m so glad I went with them. Kavardis and Jose, along with the whole team, were fantastic – truly outstanding customer service from start to finish. They were so pleasant, helpful, and went above and beyond to ensure I was comfortable, especially when they helped me get my new furnace running smoothly. I also appreciated the excellent support I received during the fraud protection call. It’s clear your team is well-trained and dedicated, and I’m very happy with Blue Dot. I’d love to learn more about other services you offer – I’ll definitely be reaching out to you again in the future!

Blue Dot’s experience was incredibly frustrating and, frankly, concerning. I usually don’t write negative reviews, but my recent interaction with them left me feeling like I had to warn others. I contacted them after my thermostat started displaying errors, and they quickly sent a technician, DJ, who diagnosed a need for a new compressor and capacitor. Then, Nick Betz offered a full HVAC system replacement, which I agreed to, signing an installation contract for the next day. However, DJ had already shut down my outdoor condenser without letting me know, causing my house to heat up to 85 degrees overnight. This unexpected action, combined with the lack of communication, immediately raised serious doubts about their assessment. Thankfully, a technician from another company quickly identified the issue – just a faulty capacitor – and fixed it in minutes. I immediately cancelled the Blue Dot contract within the 5-day window, and Nick Betz acknowledged the cancellation and promised to reverse the charge with Lowe's. But despite multiple attempts to contact him and his supervisor, Matt O’Neill, I never received a response or a cancellation letter. I'm now fighting the charge with my credit card company, and the whole situation has been incredibly stressful and poorly handled. I wouldn’t recommend Blue Dot based on my experience—they seemed to misdiagnose the problem and didn’t communicate effectively or honor their commitments.

“I wholeheartedly recommend Blue Dot – they truly are outstanding. Not only do they provide excellent service and demonstrate a high level of professional expertise, but the team itself is fantastic. I’ve complete confidence in their abilities and wouldn’t hesitate to use their services again.”

“I was really impressed with his professionalism. He took the time to thoroughly explain his approach, outlining each step he’d take, and he even suggested a service that seemed really beneficial for my home. After hearing his full explanation, I felt confident in his expertise and decided to move forward. I’m very pleased with his knowledge and his work ethic – he clearly knows his stuff.”

“I couldn’t be happier with the whole experience! The estimator was fantastic, and the installation team did a truly wonderful job. My 1893 house is now so much more comfortable thanks to the new ductless mini-splits. I wholeheartedly recommend this company – they really understand the unique needs of older homes.”

“Overall, we were incredibly impressed with the service we received. When our air conditioning went out, they responded very quickly and Andre did a fantastic job troubleshooting the problem and explaining everything to me. Then, Nick, our sales representative, followed up and offered even more insights, really helping us find the ideal solution. Thanks to their efforts, we avoided needing costly repairs or a new unit – a huge relief! We definitely plan to use their services again in the future.”

I was really disappointed with my experience. I had to call four times to schedule my appointment, and unfortunately, the technician never showed up on time. The worst part was that I received no communication whatsoever about the delay – no call or update. While the technician, Adrian Evans, was fantastic – incredibly friendly, efficient, and explained everything clearly, I can only give three stars overall due to the frustrating lack of communication and organization within the company. It really should only require one phone call to get an appointment sorted.”

Overall, Blue Dot seems like a really solid choice. Booking my appointment was a breeze, and the service I received was fantastic. Specifically, Tony from the Forest Hill, Maryland location was outstanding – he was incredibly quick, efficient, did a perfect job, and left everything spotless. I’d definitely recommend Blue Dot and, if you go with them, please ask for Tony!

Overall, this was a really positive experience, and I was just a little short of giving it a perfect rating. I appreciated the same-day appointment and the technician clearly communicated the timeframe – they called 45 minutes beforehand. However, the technician arrived a bit late, at 6:40 pm. Despite that, the technician himself was fantastic: friendly, knowledgeable, and a pleasure to work with. His excellent service really made up for the slight delay.

“We’ve been incredibly frustrated with our new water heater system, which we paid $14,500 for just four months ago. Despite the new system and our remaining warranty, we’re still without hot water. The technician who visited initially said everything was working, but as soon as he left, the red maintenance light reappeared. After that, we checked the system ourselves and confirmed the issue persists. We received an invoice for $390, but it doesn't include a total due amount, which is concerning given we’re still covered by warranty. Adding to the problem, the customer service communication has been really disjointed. We called after the initial technician left on Friday, February 28th, and were told a senior technician would be dispatched. However, when we called back on Monday, March 3rd, there was no scheduled appointment and no record of the ongoing service issue.”
