  I just wanted to express my sincere gratitude to the Fire/Medics and Police department who responded to an incident at my parents’ home on October 27, 2022. My mom had a kitchen fire and, understandably, was very confused and upset. The crew that came out were absolutely wonderful – so calm, reassuring, and kind. Given my mom’s Stage 4 cancer and her current state of confusion, their support meant the world to her and to us. They were truly a blessing, and I can’t thank them enough for their compassion and assistance. report abuse

  “Forest Lake Fire & Rescue did an incredible job assisting us with the farm fire on May 5th, 2018. They really worked as a team, partnering with Scandia, Marine on St. Croix, and the DNR to tackle the blaze, which was particularly challenging due to the heat – it was in the 80s – and a moderate wind. The firefighters were fantastic, incredibly polite and thorough, and they took great care to prevent any secondary fires, especially considering the extent of the damage to the buildings. I also wanted to say they were wonderful at the Columbus Fall Festival, where they demonstrated their equipment and were happy to answer all our family’s questions about how they handle emergencies.” report abuse
