  I absolutely have to say how pleased I am with the new roof Wood & Whitacre installed for me. From start to finish, the whole experience was fantastic. They were incredibly professional and really took the time to pay attention to the details – you could tell they cared about the quality of their work. Donna was a pleasure to work with; she was always prompt with her answers and kept me fully informed throughout the process. They actually finished the job in just three days, which was great!   Overall, I was really pleased with Wood & Whitacre’s work on my historic home in Frederick. I used them for two significant projects, and they consistently delivered on their promises. The pricing was fair, the team was always punctual and incredibly courteous, and they truly went the extra mile – sometimes exceeding what was originally requested. They handled everything from removing and replacing my old metal roof with a modern system, to repairing the mortar and re-pointing, painting the masonry and window trim, replacing rotten brick mold, and even updating the chimney caps and porch roof. I felt completely confident in their expertise and appreciated their clear explanations and recommendations.   I was really disappointed with my experience trying to get an estimate from this company. I scheduled a call for a soffit replacement, but instead of a direct conversation, I kept getting an answering service who just took down my details and passed them on. Despite multiple calls and a three-week wait, I never received a return call. I decided to give them another chance after seeing positive reviews, but the communication was incredibly frustrating. They promised a visit for an estimate, but didn’t show up and I received no updates. I checked my emails and spam regularly, but still heard nothing. I finally sent a follow-up email requesting the estimate again, making it clear I’d move on if they didn’t follow through. It’s just unacceptable to leave a customer hanging like this – a simple explanation or apology would have been appreciated. Honestly, it feels like they weren’t even interested in doing the work, and they should have just been honest about that from the start. report abuse

  Overall, I was incredibly pleased with the work they did. The owners were really friendly and easy to communicate with, and the whole team was fantastic – fast, professional, and kept everything incredibly clean, even during that intense heatwave. It was obvious they knew their business. I only noticed one small issue, but they addressed it within days with a really quick and efficient fix.
