  Jim was absolutely fantastic to work with! I was just looking to have some drywall and insulation handled during my basement renovation, but he went above and beyond. His expertise and really thoughtful recommendations led him to add gas lines and a new fireplace – it made a huge difference in how enjoyable the basement is now.   Overall, Graves Construction did a good job with the kitchen and one of the upstairs bathrooms, leaving us with beautiful tile and cabinetry. However, our experience with the other upstairs bathroom was incredibly frustrating and ultimately disappointing. The kitchen and one bathroom were completed to a high standard, with only minor issues that were easily fixed. But the second upstairs bathroom has been a persistent problem for the last three years, starting with two significant leaks caused by poor plumbing installation – a flimsy PVC ring was used above the flange, leading to a slow leak and ultimately a hole in our kitchen ceiling. Despite addressing some of the smaller issues after my initial feedback, the original leak remains unresolved. Now, we’re also dealing with loose faucet fixtures in both bathrooms, suggesting even more work is needed. The project also ran six months later than originally scheduled and lasted two weeks longer than promised. While we’d recommend Graves Construction for projects that don't involve plumbing, we strongly advise hiring a separate plumber to thoroughly inspect their work and be prepared for potential delays. report abuse

  “I contacted JLG to get an estimate for my planned Sun Room addition, but the process was really frustrating. It took nearly a month to finally get someone to come and look at the property, and I provided them with a detailed plan I’d drawn myself, which they said was incredibly helpful. However, after another three weeks of waiting, I heard nothing. When I called to check on the status, they explained that a specialist needed to review the plans. Unfortunately, the specialist’s visit didn't even result in an estimate, and I waited another three weeks for any communication. I emailed them to express my disappointment with the lack of service and the extended delays, but they ultimately couldn't provide me with an estimate within six weeks.” report abuse
