  “We bought our home in the Hanover area and, overall, it’s a lovely property. However, we’ve run into some frustrating issues within the first year – specifically with a few appliances and electrical problems. Even worse, our new Trane HVAC system failed unexpectedly, despite being under warranty, and Trane told us the initial installers did a really poor job. It’s a bit disappointing given the circumstances.” report abuse

  Overall, we’ve been really happy with our James model home and the move to the Ellendale Community. The quality of the build is excellent, and my husband, who works in construction and has a background in Building Science, has been particularly impressed. They were incredibly responsive and fixed two faulty light fixtures within just a few days – we were surprised how quickly they took care of it, especially considering we’d just moved in. report abuse

  Overall, we’ve really enjoyed our home after three years of living here. The construction process went incredibly smoothly – a huge relief, as those can be so stressful! We’re a pretty demanding couple, and I think that might have helped keep things on track. We’ve had a few minor issues since moving in, but they’ve all been quickly resolved. The only slightly negative experience was with one of the subcontractors, but thankfully they’re no longer working on projects for us. Just a note – the post-construction contact hasn’t always been the easiest to deal with.” report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience purchasing a home from Baldwin Homes in Boyer Ridge. We bought a house from their development in Severn, Maryland, and within the first year, we discovered significant mold growth. It’s been completely frustrating because Baldwin Homes has refused to take responsibility, essentially arguing that the mold was present when we received the house. As a couple who invested over $500,000 in our home, we were shocked and dismayed by their lack of support. The cost of repairing this mold is a huge unexpected expense. What’s even more concerning is that we’ve heard from other neighbors in Boyer Ridge that they’ve also experienced similar mold issues. Beyond the issue with the house itself, the customer service has been appalling. It's incredibly difficult to get in touch with anyone after the purchase, and their response to our concerns has been completely unresponsive. Honestly, it’s a serious red flag – you really have to be cautious when buying a Baldwin Homes property. report abuse
