  “I had Tom foam my roof as part of the warranty, but he completely failed to follow through. He scheduled a follow-up inspection weeks later and never showed up. I found him on Facebook enjoying a trip to Minnesota while my roof remained uninspected. It turned out woodpeckers had caused significant damage, and I had to hire another roofing company to repair and reseal it. To add insult to injury, Tom emailed me asking if I’d remembered scheduling the inspection – completely ignoring the fact that he hadn’t been there. He then dismissed my concerns and declared my warranty void, seemingly just to avoid honoring his agreement. It’s clear Tom is unreliable and doesn’t care about his customers. I strongly advise against using his services; stick with a local, trustworthy roofing company.” report abuse

I appreciated the clear communication – they gave me a realistic start date and estimated completion time upfront, and thankfully, they stuck to both.   “We were really caught out when a heavy rainstorm caused a leak in our park model trailer, but Sun Flex responded incredibly quickly. Thomas, the owner, was out to inspect the damage within two hours of our call. He provided both a verbal and then a written estimate, and we quickly agreed on the work. We even called him with a concern about an upcoming rainstorm, and he amazingly rescheduled his crew to come out the very same day to get the repairs done! They were so professional – they took extra care to avoid any mess and contaminating our neighbors’ trailers, and the cleanup was absolutely spotless. Honestly, you’d never know they’d been there except for our fantastic new roof! We couldn’t have asked for a better experience with Sun Flex.” report abuse

  Overall, Sun Flex Home Improvements did a really good job of handling a tricky situation. I initially hired them back in 2017 for some bird damage and a roof recoating, and they provided a reasonable estimate and a 10-year warranty. When the massive storm hit last September, I was understandably concerned about my roof, but thankfully the damage was minor and hadn’t caused any leaks. However, it was frustrating that they hadn’t proactively inspected the roof as part of the warranty. After the storm, they reached out, and while they quickly addressed the bird damage, they explained that the storm damage wouldn't be covered. It felt a little unreasonable that I wasn’t notified about the storm damage, and it wasn't my responsibility to find it. Ultimately, we were able to work things out by splitting the cost of the repairs and Thomas re-initiated the warranty. I really appreciate their responsiveness and willingness to find a solution – Thomas was particularly helpful. It’s definitely made me realize I need to be more proactive about reminding them to schedule those regular inspections, especially after a major event like that storm. I’d definitely recommend Sun Flex Home Improvements. report abuse
