  Christian and his team were absolutely fantastic – truly skilled craftsmen and a genuine pleasure to work with.   Honestly, we’re absolutely thrilled with our new porte cochere – it’s completely transformed our property on the Mad River in Warren. The view of the river as you drive up is just spectacular, and it’s been the highlight of our home. The only small downside was the lack of a garage, and we definitely felt that way through several harsh Vermont winters scraping snow off our cars. However, we were determined not to compromise on that incredible view, and we’re so glad we connected with Christian and the team at Hardwick Post and Beam. They started with just some initial sketches and ended up building a truly magnificent post and beam structure. Christian was fantastic – so knowledgeable and professional, always taking the time to explain things and ensuring every detail was perfect. He and his team were incredibly skilled and meticulous, and we couldn’t be happier with the final result.   Overall, I couldn’t be happier with the work HP&B did for me. Finding the perfect building lot was fantastic, but it meant removing some gorgeous red oaks, which I was really sad about. Thankfully, I was able to have one of the large trunks transformed into a stunning 16-foot post inside my house – they expertly prepared and installed it. I was so impressed with Christian, who was working on it; you could tell he truly cared about his work and the quality of his craftsmanship. They also did a beautiful job with my porch frame, and I really appreciated that they used natural, LEED-certified materials. Dealing with HP&B was a genuinely pleasant experience – they’re a talented team and a pleasure to work with. report abuse

  We absolutely love our Hardwick Post & Beam home – we moved in back in November 2018 and couldn’t be more thrilled. From the very beginning, Christian and his team were fantastic to work with, guiding us through the design and then building our dream home. They went above and beyond, even creating a beautiful timber frame lamppost, pergola, wishing well, and gang mailbox to really tie everything together. The erection team was truly exceptional – they had the entire frame up in just a few days, perfectly level and plumb. Honestly, our kitchen designer even commented that she was getting the exact same measurements every time! Everyone who’s seen the house is completely blown away by it.   Honestly, we couldn't be happier with HPB. My husband and I had been dreaming of building our home for three years, and reaching out to HPB was the perfect first step. Christian was fantastic – he responded immediately, came to our Brooklyn home within days for a thorough consultation, and delivered a detailed quote and plans incredibly quickly. Because it was our first home build, we did our research and contacted several framing companies. While everyone we spoke with was professional, HPB stood out. Their team, particularly Christian, was so fair, flexible, and responsive that we knew we’d made the right choice. They were just clearly more experienced and resourceful, and they even recommended a brilliant SIP company who handled our exterior panels. There was a slight hiccup with the SIP design, but Christian went above and beyond to ensure we got exactly what we wanted. And the final frame itself? It’s absolutely breathtaking – far exceeding our initial expectations. The crew assembled it in just two days, working incredibly efficiently and professionally, and they were genuinely a pleasure to have around.
