“I’ve been really impressed with how Vulcan Materials operates its river operations here in Havre de Grace. The tugboats are incredibly efficient, working around the clock to safely position the barges. I especially noticed they took a break during the holiday weekends – it was really thoughtful of them to avoid any extra activity with all the boats out on the Bay. And the way they light up the boats is just fantastic; I really enjoy watching them. It’s clear the team at Vulcan cares about both their work and the community, and that’s something I truly appreciate.”

I had a really frustrating experience at this facility. There were no directions provided, and I spent 40 minutes driving around completely lost without any help from the operators. They were incredibly rude and unprofessional, and frankly, quite hostile. To make matters worse, one of the operators just dismissed me and told me to leave – it was a completely unacceptable and disrespectful way to handle a customer. As a commercial truck driver, I won’t be returning.
-
“It appears there’s been some unauthorized dumping happening in the area.”
-
They were consistently friendly and polite – a genuinely pleasant team to work with.
-
It’s a really positive place to work – seems like a safe and well-run operation.
-
“They had a really good range of building materials – a solid selection to choose from.”
