  Honestly, I’m really disappointed with this company. I went through my bank’s recommended contractor service, but I wouldn’t recommend them if you need things done quickly or reliably. There were so many issues – they left my house boarded up with plywood over a holiday weekend when they couldn’t get the replacement doors, and the doors were left unlocked several times, both the physical door and the keybox. Plus, the cleanup was terrible; I even found twenty razor blades in the yard, which is a huge concern with pets. The whole project, which was supposed to take 10 days, ended up dragging on for over six weeks. I definitely won’t be using them again. report abuse

  I’m incredibly disappointed with my experience with Design Builders. About a week ago, I was given a quote for a backyard remodel – pavers, synthetic grass, and moving a fence – but the whole process was a complete mess. I was initially told to contact the main office to schedule an appointment, and after speaking with Sarah, someone named Roland came out to assess the job. He seemed confident and assured us it would be “easy.” He promised to get plans approved by the HOA and send an estimate by the end of the week. Well, here we are, a week later, and still no estimate. I called to follow up and was told Roland would get back to me, only to be told he’d call the next day. Then, Sarah from the office told me they simply *don’t* do the kind of work I was asking for! It's baffling that no one – Roland, Sarah, or the initial worker – mentioned this crucial detail during any of our conversations. Honestly, it felt incredibly unprofessional and misleading. The entire experience was a waste of my time, and no one seemed to take ownership of the situation. I strongly advise against using Design Builders; they seem to be very unclear about the scope of the work they handle.   “I cannot recommend Design Builders, Ltd. – in fact, I strongly advise against using them. Our experience was absolutely terrible. They started work on our home on June 25th, 2018, undertaking a significant renovation involving the removal of two walls and alterations to seven rooms, but crucially, they obtained absolutely no permits. The Nevada State Contractors Board was alerted and an inspector visited shortly after, finding them in violation of regulations. Beyond this serious breach of protocol, the project was plagued by constant delays and unprofessional behavior from their staff – documented through emails and text messages. They didn’t even provide a detailed Scope of Work until six weeks after they began. Their subcontractors were often left unsupervised, and Design Builders admitted their performance was substandard. Throughout the entire process, they were consistently disrespectful and unapologetic. We’re now involved in a legal battle, and due to their actions, we’ve incurred over $50,000 in damages to our property. It was, without a doubt, the worst decision we ever made. If you're considering this company for any remodeling project, I’m happy to share a 55-page document outlining the full extent of the problems we encountered.” report abuse

  I was really disappointed with my experience. After a visit on February 9th, I was assured I’d receive a proposal within a week. However, two weeks went by with no communication, and finally, I received an email stating the project was too small for them to work on. It took a further two weeks of chasing them up to get this information – it felt incredibly unprofessional and disorganized. Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. report abuse
