Honestly, I’m incredibly disappointed with the work done on the San Antonio NW Military street project. It’s been over two years and it’s still unfinished, which is completely unacceptable. The fact that a hospital and data center were built nearby while this street remains incomplete is baffling. We’ve experienced constant delays, misleading information, and a really frustrating lack of progress – just 30 minutes or more to leave the neighborhood with a small crew working only one day a month. It’s left our area looking a complete mess, and I definitely wouldn't recommend hiring them for any future projects.

“I’m incredibly frustrated with the ongoing construction at Westcreek Villages. Since I moved here in December 2022, things have been steadily progressing, but recently the delays have become completely unacceptable. Once one side of the road was finished, we were hopeful, but the traffic has turned into a real nightmare – my short commute is now consistently taking 18 minutes, which is simply not right. It feels like we’re being ignored; we’ve barely seen any work actually happening, and we’ve been told the crew is pulled away to another project, making us feel like we’re not a priority. It’s incredibly inconvenient and frustrating for everyone living here, and frankly, it feels like our concerns aren’t being taken seriously. Other projects in the area have been completed much faster, and we’re left with damaged roads and a huge increase in commute times. It’s really disappointing.”

“I’m really concerned about the ongoing road project in our neighborhood. It’s now three years behind schedule, and the delays are causing a huge amount of frustration for residents. To make matters worse, a brand new hospital opened just down the road, significantly impacting traffic and creating a real disruption. It’s incredibly disheartening to see a crew not consistently on-site, even on good weather days, and we were recently told they’ve shifted our project to a supposedly higher priority location. Honestly, with the project already two years late, it feels like it deserves more immediate attention than any new developments.”

“I’m incredibly concerned about the ongoing work on West Creek Road. It’s been a truly frustrating experience – a consistently unsafe and poorly managed construction site. For three years, we’ve dealt with gaping holes, significant traffic congestion, and frankly, dangerous conditions. It’s unacceptable, and the sheer length of time this project has been underway, especially considering the surrounding development, makes the delays and issues even more concerning.”

“I’ve been really concerned for the past two and a half years with the ongoing work on Military Drive in Westcreek. The project has consistently caused significant traffic delays and created some serious safety issues – including a large hole – making the area dangerous for drivers, residents, and especially kids walking around. It seems like the contractors keep pushing back the deadlines month after month, and frankly, it feels like they were chosen based solely on price, which doesn’t seem to be translating to quality or timely completion.”

“I’m incredibly worried about the ongoing situation on our streets. This construction project has been a disaster, and it’s seriously impacting our community’s safety and daily lives. The roads are still a mess, entire intersections are blocked, and it’s creating a nightmare for families trying to get kids to school and work. It’s also incredibly dangerous for children walking to school. It’s heartbreaking to think about the tragic accident that happened years ago – a construction worker lost his life while working on this project. And frankly, it’s frustrating that the site is often empty with no activity. We need to hold this company accountable and make sure they actually finish the work they’ve started before taking any more money. I’ve read reports about this issue – you can find one on the Ken5 news website – and it’s clear this needs to be addressed immediately.”

“We’ve been significantly concerned with HB Construction’s work on the W Military Dr project in Westcreek. For the past two years, the project has caused major traffic disruptions and safety issues for residents and especially the nearby schools. They’ve repeatedly failed to properly secure the site – like the significant drop-off they created with the excavation, which was only partially fenced – creating serious hazards. Frankly, the project is far from complete, and the city is frustrated, believing it would take longer to replace them than to push for timely completion. It’s concerning that HB Construction gained local media attention for these problems, and this appears to be a recurring pattern with their work.”
-
“I’m incredibly disappointed with our experience working with this construction company. Communication was almost non-existent – calls to their San Antonio number consistently went straight to voicemail. We’re now two years behind schedule on our project, and they’ve repeatedly taken their crews away from our work to focus on other jobs. Frankly, it felt like they were misleading Bexar County Public Works about their progress. I strongly advise anyone considering working with them to avoid them completely.”
-
“Honestly, I’m incredibly disappointed with this contractor’s performance. The project has been significantly delayed – over a year since it was initially scheduled, and they still haven’t completed the crucial roadwork that was meant to happen six months ago. To then close off the detour route completely is just unacceptable. Their project management clearly needs a serious overhaul, and I don’t believe they should be considered for future contracts.”
-
“This group has been diligently working on a community project for over two and a half years, and unfortunately, despite their efforts, progress has stalled. Despite repeated attempts to engage them, they haven’t been able to secure the necessary support to finish the work, even when approached by local news outlets.”
