  I’ve been really pleased with Southern Comfort over the years. We’ve used them at both of our homes, and they’ve always done a great job. They even replaced our ducts at one home, and the installer was incredibly efficient and friendly. Plus, last July, Josh was a lifesaver when we needed an emergency AC repair – he got us back up and running so quickly! They were fantastic with our old unit until it needed replacing, and we really appreciated how quickly they responded whenever we called.   Overall, we had a really positive experience with this company. They were genuinely committed to resolving the issues with our new systems and went above and beyond to make sure we were completely satisfied. It took a couple of troubleshooting rounds, but they ultimately fixed everything. What really stood out was their dedication to customer service – they truly cared about building a good relationship with us. We’d absolutely give them five stars if not for the initial hiccups.   “We were incredibly pleased with the service we received when they fixed our AC. They went above and beyond by checking to see if our Carrier system was still under warranty – even though we hadn't asked – and thankfully there was a month remaining, which saved us a significant amount of money. The technician was fantastic too; he called ahead, arrived on time, was incredibly professional and friendly. We’ll absolutely be using them for our regular maintenance in the future.” report abuse

  “I was initially a little hesitant after reading some negative reviews, but I’m so glad I called Southern Comfort HVAC. Everyone was incredibly friendly and responsive – from the office staff to the owner himself. They gave me a really reasonable quote, and they were just fantastic. I actually had my brother use them at the same time I needed a new HVAC system, and he also had them run some gas lines. Seriously, they were prompt, professional, and super friendly throughout the whole process. I’d absolutely recommend them – it really just comes down to having a positive attitude, and that’s exactly what we experienced with Southern Comfort HVAC.” report abuse

  “My wife and I recently moved to Huntsville, and we were completely in the dark when our HVAC system started acting up – it was running constantly and we didn’t know who to call. We started reaching out to our neighbors and doing some online research, and Southern Comfort kept popping up. Josh Cochran was fantastic! He quickly identified the issue and had the part to fix it right away. I really appreciated his expertise and how friendly and approachable he was. The price was fair, and I’d absolutely call them again.   “I was really disappointed with my experience with Southern Comfort. They were recommended to me, but the service technician was incredibly disorganized – he arrived late, didn’t bring his tools, and essentially just guessed at the problem, saying my unit needed coolant and a new coil for $1,500. When a second company checked it out, they found no actual leak, just that the system was overcharged. They fixed the overcharge, and my system started working perfectly. To be fair, I ended up replacing the thermostat myself. Southern Comfort did apologize after I left a review and refunded my service fee, but honestly, it was a frustrating experience – it felt like they were more interested in selling me parts than actually diagnosing and fixing the issue.” report abuse

  “I just wanted to say what a fantastic experience we’ve had with this company! They installed a 2-ton carrier unit upstairs, and they were absolutely fantastic. They arrived on time, completed the job by noon, and the team was incredibly courteous and professional. The installation itself was excellent – we’re really pleased with the work.   “We’ve been so pleased with Southern Comforts! They originally installed our A/C and gas furnace at our old house – it was the previous owner’s decision – and they’ve continued to take care of our HVAC needs ever since. When we needed a check-up a year after moving in, they were there, and thankfully the system has run perfectly under warranty without any issues. We also recently had them install new gas lines for a range and oven, and they did an amazing job – quick, efficient, and at a really reasonable price. Honestly, it’s great to find a company with trustworthy, hardworking people who genuinely care about their work.   Overall, my experience with Southern Comfort HVAC has been mixed. They did a great job fixing the issue with my heating system – the technician was professional and quickly diagnosed and resolved a short circuit that was causing the unit to freeze up. However, I ended up with a shockingly high energy bill of $430 after moving in, and while they fixed the immediate problem, they weren’t willing to acknowledge the root cause was related to the new installation. I was disappointed that they simply stated they’d fixed the issue and weren’t interested in discussing reimbursement for the unexpected cost. While legally they might be right, I felt it was unfair to be stuck with that bill when it stemmed from their work. It just seemed like a company focused on customer satisfaction would have gone a little further to ensure I wasn't out a significant amount of money. If you’re just looking for a reliable HVAC service, Southern Comfort seems to deliver, but be prepared – they won’t take responsibility if their installation leads to extra expenses. report abuse
