  Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the walkway and patio Alcoa installed for our new home. From the initial planning stages through to the final completion, they were fantastic. The crew was consistently polite and our foreman did a truly excellent job keeping everything on track. Steve R. was particularly helpful, checking in daily and proactively addressing any minor adjustments needed to fit the project seamlessly into our landscaping – he really listened to our concerns and made sure the work was done perfectly.   “We were really disappointed with Sunrise Pools’ handling of our decking project. We initially got a promise of a call to schedule an appointment, but that never materialized. After several calls and ultimately rescheduling with Steve, he did arrive, measure the space, and complete the decking work itself. However, the whole experience was plagued by poor communication. We asked Steve to extend the decking around our pool and scheduled another appointment with someone else who came to measure a month ago without providing any estimate or quote. Steve then didn’t return our calls, and seemed uninterested in fulfilling our request. It felt unprofessional and frustrating to be left in the dark.” report abuse

  “We were really pleased with the finished look of our new paver patio around the pool, and the crew did a solid job. However, we had a really frustrating experience with Alcoa. We went with their recommendation from our pool builder, but communication was a huge issue. After signing the contract and making our initial payment, we didn’t hear anything for ten days, and it took a follow-up email to get a start date. Then, after just one day of work, there was another three-day gap with no updates. It turned out the problem was a misunderstanding regarding county permit requirements – they hadn’t checked them before installing the wrong type of bonding, and the inspection failed twice. They ended up asking us to pay an extra $500 to fix their mistake, which was incredibly frustrating, especially considering the two-week delay it caused for our other pool projects. Honestly, we wish we’d gone with a different company – the lack of communication and the whole permitting issue really impacted our timeline and added unexpected costs.” report abuse

  Honestly, we couldn’t be happier with Alcoa. They did an amazing job building our patio around the pool and a retaining wall – not just the quality of the work, but the whole experience was fantastic. They were the most competitive quote we received, and Steve, our main point of contact, was fantastic. They were always punctual, kept us fully informed about the timeline, and even proactively communicated if anything needed adjusting. We had a small issue with some pavers sinking, and they responded immediately, sending a crew over first thing to fix it – now the patio looks absolutely perfect!
