  Southern Insulation’s handling of the repair work on my unit was frankly unacceptable and a huge disappointment. They were initially hired in October 2023 after a water leak caused significant damage to my stairwell walls, requiring abatement due to asbestos identified by KEM. From the start, things went wrong. They only provided floor plans at my insistence and immediately mislabeled containment areas, raising serious concerns about their work quality. The demolition itself was chaotic – they only tackled the center wall and a small portion of the left wall, completely removing the containment unit despite the contract. It wasn't until KEM confirmed visible mold on the left wall that they finally acknowledged the problem. The fact they left my unit exposed to mold for an entire day is incredibly concerning. What really stood out was Mark Minor’s behavior. He repeatedly denied issues, tried to blame me for contacting KEM, and then refused to apologize for the numerous mistakes. He even questioned our hotel bill, despite the delays being entirely his company’s fault. After weeks of waiting, Mark still hasn't followed through on paying me, claiming only a "miscommunication" and promising a check that never arrived. Southern Insulation’s actions – the lack of honesty, transparency, and professional conduct – completely contradict their website’s claims of “excellence” and “quality customer service.” Honestly, I wouldn't recommend them. I’d strongly suggest looking at ServPro; they demonstrated a level of communication, professionalism, and genuine care that Southern Insulation simply didn’t. report abuse
