“NCH really knocked it out of the park for us! From start to finish, they were incredibly professional and took such great care in building our new home. Christine was fantastic – she really listened to our needs and helped us design a beautiful space that’s perfectly suited to our lifestyle. We especially loved the wide range of exterior colors we could choose from, and we opted for a cheerful tone with sage green accents. The house itself is incredibly solid and quiet, with 2x6 walls and thoughtfully designed room layouts. Mark did an amazing job with the interior finishing details, and Paul was a brilliant coordinator, ensuring everything ran smoothly and seamlessly.”

“I was absolutely thrilled with the entire project – it far exceeded my expectations! From start to finish, the team, particularly Paul and Tom Fisher along with Christine, were incredible. Because of my work travel, I managed the project remotely, and I was consistently impressed with their attention to detail. They really took the time to walk me through all the interior and exterior options, considering the specific area and climate, without any pressure and offering valuable insights based on their experience. I knew it was a challenging time of year to get this done, but the team’s responsiveness was outstanding. I especially appreciated being able to see the factory tour during construction and how smoothly they coordinated all the contractors – clearing the land, demolition, foundation work, electrical, HVAC, and carpentry – everything was handled seamlessly. The contractors they brought in were top-notch, completing their work on time and with a remarkable level of quality. What really blew me away was the speed of the module installation. Seeing those crane modules arrive and be put in place in just six hours, and then the whole structure being weathered within two days – that was critical given the approaching winter. That's exactly why I chose a modular build – a climate-controlled environment and a quick assembly to protect the foundation. Everything else came together perfectly within 12 weeks, and I was finally able to move in. Even now, almost two years later, they continue to check in and ensure I’m satisfied, which speaks volumes about their dedication. I’ve recommended General Housing and North Country Homes to so many people – at least twelve times – and I’ll continue to do so. Their relationships with the subcontractors were the best I’ve ever seen in my 40 years of working with builders, and I’m incredibly grateful for their service.”

Honestly, we were a pretty demanding client throughout this entire renovation process, and Paul and his team were just incredible. They handled everything with such grace and professionalism, and were always so kind and eager to see our vision for our new home come to life. Christine was particularly amazing – she seamlessly accommodated all the changes and modifications we made to our plans, which, admittedly, were quite a few! Paul consistently delivered on every promise he made, and we truly appreciate his dedication. The only thing I wish we’d done was be a little more patient – thank you both so much for all your hard work and making our dream home a reality.

Last year, my wife and I decided to make a big move and build our dream home in Cheboygan, after enjoying our little cottage for almost three years. We’d been really impressed with the quality of modular homes built in a factory – we’d heard they’re much better than traditional stick-built houses that face the elements. We actually met a lovely couple in Indian River who had a North Country Homes house, and we were blown away by it. We visited the North Country Homes office and the owner and manager were fantastic – so friendly and helpful, and they really took the time to understand what we wanted. We made a lot of changes throughout the building process, and they were incredibly accommodating. Looking back, we’re absolutely thrilled with our new house; the North Country Homes team did an amazing job taking care of everything.

“We called to discuss plans and pricing for a modular home and were given a time slot of 2-3 pm. We arrived at 1:30 pm and spent time looking at the two models they had available. Unfortunately, the salesperson was still occupied and asked us to wait. We got a drink while we waited, and when we returned, she immediately took on another client instead of contacting us. It was a really frustrating experience, and we won’t be returning.”
-
“I’m incredibly frustrated. We’ve been waiting for a price quote on the house we’re ready to move forward with since November of 2019, and we never heard back. Honestly, I’m relieved they didn’t contact us again – it really highlights a concerning lack of communication, and I wouldn’t feel comfortable entrusting them with completing our home based on this experience.”
-
“We’ve been trying to connect with this sales team, but we haven’t been able to reach them. I’ve reached out twice and haven’t received a return call. Given this lack of communication, we’ll need to explore other Ritz-Craft dealers in the area.”
-
“I reached out twice to get an estimate for my home renovation, but unfortunately, I never received a return call. I’ve decided to go with a different builder. It seems like they might be a bit overwhelmed and I wish they had more staff to handle inquiries.”
-
“They absolutely nailed it – exactly what we needed: a fully accessible home that would also work beautifully on our property.”
-
“I spoke with someone about pricing and got some really helpful information – they were very polite and accommodating. However, the cost per square foot was a bit too high for what I’m looking for.”
