“American Structurepoint was hired to assess the possibility of wind farms in Henry County, a project costing around $100,000. Their initial report clearly indicated that the area wasn’t suitable due to strong local opposition – the vast majority of residents surveyed expressed concerns about having wind farms so close to their homes. However, it’s deeply concerning that county officials pressured Structurepoint to alter the report to align with the wind companies’ desired narrative. This demonstrates a serious breach of trust, and frankly, it’s unacceptable to use taxpayer money and then disregard the genuine concerns of the community.”

I’m really concerned about the recent shift in your position on wind energy here in Henry County. It seems like you initially opposed it back in August, and now you’re advocating for its adoption – with very little explanation. It feels like a pretty dramatic change, and frankly, a little unsettling. It makes me wonder if persuasive tactics are being used to influence this decision.

I’m incredibly frustrated with American StructurePoint’s shifting position on wind power in the county’s comprehensive plan. Initially, their preliminary draft dismissed wind turbines entirely, but then, seemingly without justification, they completely reversed course and began promoting them as a viable option. It feels like they’re only listening to the people writing the checks – Henry County officials with potential conflicts of interest. Considering the $100,000 price tag, it’s really concerning that taxpayers are footing the bill for a decision that appears driven by financial interests.

“I’m honestly heartbroken to see your change of opinion on wind turbines in Henry County. Growing up on a farm there, I’ve always been aware of these proposals, and it’s incredibly upsetting to think they’re now being considered for my family’s land and the homes of so many friends and neighbors. It feels like a direct threat to our community, and I’m particularly disappointed to see some people I’ve known for years – including those serving as county commissioners – seem to be prioritizing other interests over what’s best for our area.”
-
“I’m incredibly disappointed with American Structurepoint’s handling of the recent road extension project in Porter County. It seems they made an error, but instead of being transparent and addressing the issue directly, they repeatedly misled the community, including fabricating claims about emergency services with a senior executive presenting the false information to a group of 150 residents. This level of dishonesty is unacceptable.”
-
“This firm was truly exceptional. They’re incredibly well-managed and staffed with some exceptionally bright minds who tackled some really complex issues for our city, delivering practical solutions that we’re seeing benefits from every day. It’s fantastic to have such a capable firm serving Indiana.”
-
“We hired American Structurepoint through our local architecture firm for the Westfield distribution center, and unfortunately, the experience has been deeply concerning. A junior member of their team made some critical errors, most notably a disastrous design for the truck dock drainage system which is now estimated to cost tens of thousands of dollars to fix. What’s truly frustrating is their complete lack of accountability – they’ve been dismissive and even rude during the review process. I’ve since connected with others who’ve had similar negative experiences with American Structurepoint, and it seems a recurring theme is a reluctance to take responsibility for their mistakes. I strongly advise anyone considering working with them to proceed with extreme caution.”
-
“It’s deeply concerning that Henry County spent $100,000 on American Structurepoint, only to have the resulting Comprehensive Plan essentially disregard public feedback and appear driven by political considerations – it felt like a poorly executed process.”
-
“That driver seemed to try and pull me over, which was pretty unsettling.”
-
“It was really easy to work with them – a genuinely pleasant experience. They also seemed to have a really thorough approach.”
