  “I hired Kevin Taylor from Taylor Made to assess some serious wood rot on load-bearing beams in my new house, and I really regret it. He took a look at some photos I sent, downplayed the issue, and initially quoted me $500 for the inspection – with the promise of a further discount if I used his repair services. That was my first red flag, but I went ahead with it. He showed up without a ladder or moisture meter, spent about 20 minutes just wandering around, and then chatted with my realtor. The whole inspection barely lasted 20 minutes, and I was charged $500 for it! He then gave me a massive estimate of $2,500 to $10,000 for the repair. When I questioned the price, he offered to reduce the repair cost to $1,000 – after I’d already paid half of it! It became clear he was significantly inflating the price. As a business owner, I wasn’t willing to be taken advantage of, and I quickly hired another contractor who gave me a much more reasonable estimate. I don’t think Taylor Made delivers good value.” report abuse

  “I had a really strange experience with this contractor. Initially, I spoke with Kevin Taylor’s wife, and she was incredibly pleasant and helpful – a genuine delight to talk to. However, the whole interaction quickly turned sour with Kevin himself. He was incredibly arrogant and dismissive, and frankly, treated me like I was bothering him. He immediately started pressuring me for payment before even looking at the problem, demanding photos of the damage and insisting I was ready to pay a huge sum of $12,000. The way he phrased everything, demanding photos and pushing for immediate payment, felt incredibly disrespectful and like he was trying to intimidate us. My wife even overheard the phone call and was shocked by his behavior. I tried to be reasonable, just asking for an estimate, but he wouldn’t commit to a simple visit. It was clear he was trying to manipulate the situation. Honestly, the whole thing was incredibly frustrating and made me feel completely undervalued as a potential customer. I wouldn’t recommend him at all.” report abuse

  Overall, we were incredibly pleased with the work Taylor Made did on our bathroom remodel. Kevin was fantastic – he really took the time to explain everything clearly and offered some great suggestions for materials. The estimate was fair, and we appreciated that there were no unexpected costs added during the project. The team who did the work were professional, friendly, and kept us updated regularly, which made us feel completely comfortable throughout the whole process.   Overall, the renovation of the basement suite was fantastic. The team did a really thorough job, paying close attention to detail – you could tell they took a lot of pride in their work. They handled everything from the full bathroom remodel (including moving the plumbing and installing new tile) to the flooring and painting with a high standard.
