  Jim and his team at Buskirk Construction did an absolutely fantastic job remodeling our house. They tackled everything – three bedrooms, two bathrooms, the kitchen, living room, dining room, and family room – and completely transformed it. All the doors, woodwork, flooring, and windows were replaced, and the exterior was beautifully painted with new lights installed. We were blown away by the quality of their work and how meticulous they were. Seriously, their attention to detail was outstanding, and we wholeheartedly recommend Buskirk Construction for any project, big or small. report abuse

  Jim was fantastic to work with throughout our recent home renovations. It was really helpful to have one point of contact for everything – the garage rebuild, siding replacement, deck addition, and the entryway expansion. He responded to our questions promptly and explained everything really clearly. What really stood out was how he quickly resolved a snag with our property line, which had been holding up the garage project for a while. It’s truly stunning – we walk in every day and can hardly believe it’s our own; it looks like it’s straight out of a magazine.   “I can’t recommend Buskirk Construction highly enough! My family and I have used them for several projects – two bathrooms and a major kitchen remodel – and they’ve consistently exceeded our expectations. The quality of their work, from knocking out walls and installing windows and doors to the plumbing, tile, and flooring, was absolutely stunning. Honestly, the final result was far better than we could have ever envisioned. As someone who works with the public, I know how difficult it can be to picture a completed project, but Buskirk Construction truly transformed our home and made our dreams a reality.   I can’t recommend Buskirk Builders. From start to finish, this was a deeply frustrating experience. They were incredibly friendly and easy to work with during the initial stages of getting the contract signed, but once the deposit was paid, things went downhill very quickly. There was a significant delay between the deposit and when the work actually began, which I understand can happen with contractors, but it was compounded by a serious lack of quality and communication. The fireplace installation was completely unacceptable – it was installed at floor level instead of the recommended waist height, despite my repeated explanations and visual demonstrations. They offered countless excuses instead of simply correcting the mistake, and I have recordings of their justifications. Similarly, the stacked stone was installed with large, unnecessary gaps, and they blamed me for this. Worse still, the old gas lines were left in place, causing a huge mess and damage to my basement. They consistently deflected responsibility and offered no solutions. Throughout the entire process, Buskirk Builders were difficult to deal with and demonstrated a blatant disregard for customer satisfaction. Frankly, they seem more interested in avoiding accountability than in delivering a quality job. I urge anyone considering hiring them to explore other options – you’ll want to avoid the issues we faced. report abuse

  Beth had a warranty issue with a window, and we worked with her to get a replacement. She initially had a problem with the first one, but she was persistent and we followed up until she received a window she was happy with. It was great to work with her and we’re pleased we could resolve the situation to her satisfaction. report abuse

  “I was incredibly disappointed with this company’s service. They scheduled multiple appointments to provide an estimate, and each time they arrived as promised, they simply didn’t show up. Worse, they didn’t attempt to contact me to explain any delays. I ended up having to repeatedly reach out to them to reschedule, and each time my requests were completely ignored. An apology alone doesn’t fix a fundamentally unprofessional experience.” report abuse

  Jim arrived and approached us without a mask. When we politely asked if he had one, he initially said he did, then got quite close to hand me a card. It was really concerning that he continued not to wear a mask during our conversation. His behavior was incredibly unprofessional and frankly, quite childish – demanding we ask him to put on a mask. I ended the interaction by telling him not to bother and simply letting him leave. report abuse
