  Overall, my experience with this company was incredibly frustrating and ultimately unsuccessful. I initially chose them based on positive reviews I saw posted around Home Depot in Waldorf, and after speaking with Sam Lanier, the owner, I felt confident in their ability to help me get my permit approved for a deck and roof project. Sam initially charged me around $1700 to address the county’s concerns, but as the process dragged on – with the county sending four additional letters requesting more information – communication became increasingly difficult. It turned out Sam was outsourcing the actual work, which caused further delays and confusion. While he was able to address some of the roof-related questions, the county continued to raise new concerns, and Sam wouldn’t even engage the professional I ultimately hired to clarify everything. Because of this lack of clear communication and the fact that Sam wasn’t directly handling the issues with the county, my permit approval was delayed for nearly four months. I ended up paying another professional $500 to get things back on track, and thankfully, my permit was approved within a week after that. I don’t believe I’m entitled to a full refund, but I do feel a partial refund is warranted considering the significant delays and the lack of the promised service. Frankly, the unprofessionalism and poor communication from this company is unacceptable, and I wouldn’t recommend them if you’re looking for a smooth and timely permit approval process. report abuse

  DLC consistently delivered excellent results. They were incredibly responsive to our urgent project requests and impressively stepped up to take on additional tasks beyond their initial scope.
