  I cannot recommend Ayers Construction. My experience with them has been incredibly frustrating and, frankly, disastrous. I hired them in May of 2022 to install an egress window and window well, and from the very beginning, things went horribly wrong. Following the installation, I immediately noticed standing water accumulating in the window well – eight inches of it – which began flooding my basement every time it rained. Despite repeated attempts to address this, they’ve been unable to resolve the drainage issue. The window itself has a shockingly poor, unprofessional caulk job. Adding to the problems, they failed to pull the necessary permits, argued with me and the city, and even attempted to blame groundwater for the flooding. They offered a hefty $2500 “solution” without actually fixing the root of the problem. Furthermore, they created new issues like a large hole near the window and a buckling retaining wall, leaving me with significant damage to my personal belongings and requiring a complete gutting of my finished basement. Communication has been non-existent – they ignore my calls and emails, and the city only intervened after persistent pressure. They deny having adequate insurance coverage and offered no concrete plan to address the numerous defects they created. Based on misleading online reviews, I was initially drawn to Ayers, but I now urge anyone considering them to proceed with extreme caution – or, better yet, avoid them entirely. report abuse

  Overall, I had a really positive experience with this company. From the start, Jordan, my sales representative, was fantastic – he took the time to thoroughly explain everything about the job, answered all my questions patiently, and made me feel completely comfortable. The crew who actually did the work were also excellent. They were incredibly professional, hardworking, and friendly, and it’s clear they take pride in their work. I’ve had a persistent flooding problem in my basement for years, and I’m really confident that this solution has finally fixed it once and for all.
